    BOND

Pierce Brosnan is apprantly not going to be the next Bond, if this is true I think Billy Zane or Wesley Snipes would be great choices.

BTW Snipes had been mentioned as a consideration in the past.

How about George Clooney, Orlando Bloom or Eric Bana?

Snipes with a British accent? I can't picture him doing Bond

Brosnan looked like a Bond type character, sucks that he won't be Bond anymore

I was havign this conversation the other day. There are simply no good ones left.

I don't think Snipes can pull off the British accent. Orlando Bloom is too girly.

Eric bana is interesting, although he'd have to undergo some change.

What about Russell Crowe? He doesn't really have the character though.

Clooney is not bad, but again, the accent may be a problem.

I don't think they should trick up Bond by going with some choice that completely changes the character. It's bad enough they've been tricking up the movies to make them more and more pointless and plotless.

But I don't know who they should go with. If it were me making the decision, I'd likely go with someone who was an unknown.

My wife just came back from NYC, and she had 5th row seats to the Boy from Oz. She said it was completely obvious why Hugh Jackman one the best actor Tony. She said it was the best show she had ever seen and that Hugh was incredible.

I can't remember his name, but the actor who plays Brenda's new boyfriend in Six Feet Under would be a good choice. Apparently, he can do good accents as well.

Snipes is about as far away from being James Bond as I am from being Tracy McGrady...

If you want a black James Bond, Colin Salmon might come closer. At least he is British.

I've always wanted to one day play James Bond on the big screen.

I am not British and can't act.

    It worked for Pierce Brosnan.

    Think I have a shot?

It's going to be Clive Owen, which is a wise choice, IMO. (He can actually act.) The rumors have started...

    Clive Owen denies Bond rumors

    The Arizona Republic
    July 6, 2004

Rumors have King Arthur star Clive Owen taking over the shaken-not-stirred mantle of James Bond from Pierce Brosnan. But supercool Owen has no plans to don the Bond tux, at least not yet.

"The first thing to say is, there are far worse things to be associated with than James Bond," Owen tells the Associated Press. "The next thing is, it's all been complete media speculation. I don't know where it comes from and why it keeps coming up, because it's never been anything more than just rumor.

"And thirdly, I think Pierce Brosnan has been a great Bond. He's done a fantastic job, and as far as I'm concerned, he's the man. . . . He's been fantastic for that franchise, and he should be back."

Justin Theroux? He was Irish in Charlies Angels Full Throtle. Good actor. Hot body. But I don't really seem him as a suave Brit.

    Maybe Rupert Everett?

I would not be surprised if this is a ploy by Pierce Brosnan to negotiate a better contract. All parties would be fools to make a switch now.
