The Texans, Colts or Titans. Right now, even though we are all upset with losing a game that the Texans could have won, the division is still up for grabs. So, who do you guys think will be able to pull it off? DD
As long as #18 is healthy, Colts are the best team in the division. Addai could be back next week, Collie will be back in a few weeks, Powers and Lacey will be back soon, and Manning is going make Tamme look like a Pro-Bowler.
Pains me to say it but with all the Colts injury issues and the Texans' coaching staff...got to be the Titans...please excuse me because I just threw up a bit in my mouth.
I brought this up early in the TexansVColts thread, and the argument was "who does Peyton have to throw to?" Answer: evidently, anything on two legs. One of the best field generals in NFL history. Run a junior high squad out there alongside him, and you still couldn't count him out.
It might be the Colts, but with all their injuries etc, I think it is going to come down to who is the best coach, and I think that is Fisher. DD
What a great pickup for my fantasy team that was, if I do say so myself. I always play a WR/TE from the team that the Texans play then drop him soon after, but I may end up keeping Tamme. Keller has really dropped off the last few games.
Fisher is an incredibly overrated coach, a couple very good records in his long tenure have inflated the stats of his many average years And the best coach in the division is Peyton Manning
Man I completely disagree, he coached that team through major turmoil, different eras and lots and lots of turnover and still they compete hard every single game. He has a gameplan he sticks to it, and the team wins more than it loses. While he may not be Bill Cowher, he is not that far behind....If the Texans had Fisher, they would be a LOT LOT LOT better than they are now. DD
Anything on two legs? You underestimate the great Peyton Manning. If it were legal, Peyton would stick his dog out wide and he would go all Air Bud on our secondary. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YVsaKG_KcDU?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YVsaKG_KcDU?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> Imagine the possibilities.
I agree Fisher is overrated. He had many bad/average seasons he has coached. It took him forever to bench Collins last year as well. I know Peyton Manning is going to make any coach look good but I like Jim Caldwell. He made a great hire in Larry Coyer.
Colts.... we all know what Manning can do. Peyton is the Indianapolis coach. I just think VY's injury which will be nagging him all season long will cost them games (whether he's out or if he goes out midway in a game)... Collins is a great back up... but their schedule is as tough as the Texans.
Colts. Still hoping for the best. But it's the Colts till someone proves anything different. Colts beat up still are a good team.
Easiest poll question in the Football Forum thus far. How can anybody say anything other than "Colts" with a straight face? Seriously? I'd say the Titans have a (way) outside chance...I guess. The Texans are a disaster. And by "disaster" I mean they're destined to finish 7-9 to 9-7 every year as long Kubiak is coach. Pains me to say it, but...I see nothing to refute it.
I think the Titans will win. Colts are too banged up and still can't stop the run. Other teams will not be as generous as not running the ball and not testing their run defense.
