As I've said before, I'm convinced that the NBA has been rigged ever since David Stern became Commissioner. On the one hand it's good, because the NBA has become more popular under his direction than anyone else. He's great at marketing. Unfortunately, some of the teams that have deserved to win have gotten shafted. Thing is, I'm not sure if Stern thinks LA is still the more popular team. The officiating in Game 6 seemed to assert an emphatic 'Yes!' However, it could be that Stern wanted a dramatic Game 7. I think that if the calls are neutral, the Kings will win. Time will tell. PS: Either Dick Bavetta is 1- The worst referee in the NBA 2- Getting paid off by David Stern 3- Getting paid off by the Lakers 4- Some combination of those first 3. He had better not be officiating Game 7. If he is, and the Lakers win, I will seriously consider doing something harmful to his health.
Blah, NBC would love it more if the Celtics won. They should've fouled out Jason Kidd... But I admit, who wants to watch a Kings-Nets finals? P.S. I hate your crappy options. I think home court does more to sway officials than petty concerns in ratings. NBC loses money when a series is won in 4 or 5 games. So how would that explain last years title run?
