I mean, more likely Ariza, but is anyone concerned that we don´t have any SG?? Belineli who has been traded to the Raptors could have been traded here for Steve Francis 1.5 millions trade exceptions, but still we are waiting for an SG to arrive.

    Will anyone come??

Please don´t say T-Mac, i am talking about starting at the begining of the season and TMac won´t be ready.

Artest wasn't a SG but it worked out, although brief, with Battier. Regardless, starters are going to be opening day:

    AB/Shane/Ariza/Scola/Andersen

Wouldn't be suprised if Chuck were the starter for the beginning until Andersen settles in. I've been tough on Coach Adelman but he'll make it work. No way, he'll give our rookies including Von, if resigned, the starting SG spot. Von proved to be at best a spark off the bench as his defense has too improve which makes Trevor and Shane as starters.

    In defense we trust

    PG- AB
    SG- Ariza
    SF- Shane
    PF- Colaaa
C - Hayes ( I think this is a given considering Adelman's actions when it comes to rookies. Coach always expects Rookies to earn their playing team/starting spot )

We should make a Rudy Fernandez to Houston thread! Iv'e always wanted him to wear Rocket red since he was still playing in the Euro League.

The Rockets haven't started a shooting guard at shooting guard since Cuttino Mobley was on the team. It doesn't matter who fills the slot we don't have a wing on the roster that can create their own shot.

Why does Rudy Fernandez seem like such an obvious and perfect fit?

    What is holding it up?

There is zero doubt in my mind that a deal would help both teams greatly. WHAT IS GOING ON MOREY? I CAN'T TAKE IT!

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ariza and Battier will switch SG and SF assignments depending on who we play. Battier is going to follow the best offensive player on most nights. Ariza is the same height and 10lbs. lighter than Battier so we wont lose much on either position as far as size goes. I think Kyle Lowry will see more minutes than Budinger off the bench. Novak didn't play that much at all and came in with only a little less hype than Budinger. If he does come in he will be mainly a SF back up. I dont think he is good enough passer or dribbler to play SG. Guy can shoot the lights out though...

Definately not Wafer. But I wonder whats all this Rudy Fernandez stuff going on. Hopefully somehow we can pull a battier for Rudy and Outlaw but I highly doubt that will happen. But Ariza is the best candidate for that position along with Battier.

I agree with almost everything you said. I could see Brooks playing alot of SG with Lowry manning the point. Budinger's talent far out weighs that of Novaks though. As far as Budinger not being a good passer I disagree, he showed in SL that he was more than capable. Yes SL, but I think it will def translate in the big show. I would like to see him get some minutes, yes he needs to work on the D. Still think a deal or two is very possible though
