I think that Biden will step aside within the next week or two. The writing is on the wall in my opinion.

If that happens, I think the Dems will name a new candidate at the DNC. All they have to do is name somebody young and charismatic to win the presidency in my opinion.

How will they bundle it? Who will they nominate? I'm curious to hear other people's opinion, because I have no clue.

Michelle Obama would make things really interesting. Especially considering the convention is in Chicago. And also the fact that she's been a target of trumpsters.

That's the easy answer, but she ain't it. She's got no chance of beating Trump either.

Good luck with that. Fantasizing all you want but basically it’s over. Your side needs to get it together for 2028 but I highly doubt it. What have you got to offer America? If your policies are sound and good for America, people will follow you and vote for you so you wouldn’t have to resort to all of the dirty tactics to go after your political opponents like you do now.

Dude, you need to read the temperature of the room. You come across a bit unhinged in your posts in this section.

I don't have a side. I dislike both sides. My politics swerve in and out of the midline. I just don't have anywhere to align myself because of that.

Just asking a simple question because I'm curious.

As an aside, the funny thing about this whole Biden thing is that probably 80% of the country could have told you he was a weak candidate and shouldn't follow through months ago. Now there's a real possibility that Democrats will be scrambling to find a replacement candidate that can give them a shot. I think it will need to be somebody that is somewhat distant from Biden. That's why I don't think Kamala is a good candidate.

For better or worse, the Democratic Party had a primary, Joe Biden won. If Joe Biden steps down, the only successor is Kamala. Anyone else would be unvetted by definition.

Why do people keep bringing up Michelle Obama as a candidate? She has continuously stated she has no interest.

Maybe not taking away health insurance for millions of folks, Social Security benefits, further shifting the tax burden onto the middle class, or deporting millions of low wage earners, for starters. All because of... WOKE!!!

I did a bit of research and from a funding perspective only Harris could touch the donor money or they refund it and hope they give it to whoever. I think Joe will want Harris and might even make that part of the deal but who knows................its the bottom of the 9th and they need to bring in a closer. I am not sure who would be the best....................I would love for Michelle to do it but I think she has had enough of the WH and the BS that goes with it.

The Polls have shown virtually no gap between Biden and Trump (Trump slightly ahead). I actually think they are wrong. Biden is ahead. I heard the methodology of current polling and it is crazy. There is alot of extrapolation because people under 35 do not answer their phones to pollsters. Georgia has a 29% percent black voter population and the polling is only counting for 8%. This may be an election where polling in just wrong.

Proving every day that the "Trump Derangement Syndrome" is, in fact, a MAGA disease.

Instead of MAGA, they should call themselves "The Pot and Kettle Movement."

Before you go off the deep end on that comment, I lean Republican, but not far enough right to think MAGA die hards are sane.

You said you don’t have a side but I’m not buying it. If you truly don’t have a side, you could have seen that walking corpse the Dems trotted out 4 years ago as your president. Everyone who has eyes and ears can see see and hear for themselves. They gaslit us every single day about his health until they can’t hide it anymore and he has passed his expiration date. If I were Biden, I’m not going anywhere, he won the primaries fair and square, why should he go anywhere? The Dems always saying Trump is a threat to democracy well, look who the real threat is?

Amazing how I predicted a post of yours, and preempted it with a response to it.

Or, wait, I think that post works in response to 90% of your posts in this forum.

So how come nobody is buying it? If his policies are fantastic and people(well some people anyway) are thriving and prosperous, then he would be the most popular president of all times and the people will re-elect him in a landslide? Instead, his approval numbers are in the tank and most people are miserable these last 4 years. Something does not jive.
