Rockets over Spurs in Round 2
    Rockets over Lakers WCF
    Rockets over Cavs in 6

    TMac - Finals MVP

I apologize for the double post. This team has heart.

    T-Mac signs for $34 million/2 seasons

I can't decide which prediction is worse: the Grizzles making the playoffs or the Kings making the playoffs. There is no way either of those teams gets in.

    My picks:

    Lakers
    Spurs
    Mavs
    Blazers
    Nuggets
    Hornets
    Jazz
    Suns

I think the Rockets will fall just short.

Agreed. I cannot see how the Grizzles or the Kings make it. The Clips might have a better chance, but still. It'll take another season or two.

I agree with you on the Rockets falling short. We may have the heart and determination, but we don't have the talent or height. If we had a healthy Yao and McGrady, things would be much different. But alas, we don't.

I shall enjoy our new playing style, our new and developing players, and our mediocre season. Others should do the same.

The Grizzlies will make it, just watch this season is going to be different. I shall be following them closely and i see great success ahead even if their front office is a little "unstable".

I agree 100% with your eight...but I would have the order slightly differently.

Although spurs are my favs to win the west if healthy, but i don't feel they would have a high playoff seed spot as I really feel that they would pace themselves considering all the injuries they have had in the past few years and the old age of the core players. I feel that the phoenix suns and mavs would be higher up. I feel that with shaq gone, they would be back to their old selves of playing fast break basketball. Although not a winning fromula for the playoffs, but with nash at point, I think they would win a lot of easy games in the regular season. hate to admit it, jazz is actually really strong this year. their performance last year was not their full strength with boozer out for a significant amount of time. NO is likely to make the playoffs purely because they have pual and west.

But overall i would say that your eight teams is about right. I would be surprised if anyother team replaced them (offcourse bearing injuries/suspensions...). I feel that the rockets would be the 9th team in the west personally

Only one change I would make to your list is the 8 spot; if not the Rockets I think:

    Los Angeles Lakers
    San Antonio Spurs
    Portland Trail Blazers
    Denver Nuggets
    Dallas Mavericks
    Utah Jazz
    New Orleans Hornets
    OK Thunder

Grizzlies have a better chance than the Clips. Griffin is no Dream.

It's not front office instability that I think will hold them back. I think it's the instability of Iverson and Randolph. This team will give up more points than any other team in the league and will probably set records for fewest assists.

This was a terrible team last year, and they added Iverson and Randolph. This is going to be a train wreck of a season for them. There's definitely no way the Grizz are better than the Mavs (with Marion) and Hornets (with Okafur).
