Now that the Rockets have a wide array of talent, how many of them will have a chance to play in the All-Star Weekend.

We have five players that can participate in the rookie game (Griffin, Nachbar, Ming, Morris, and Oscar) and have at least two players good enough to make it to the all star game (Steve and Mobley.) Which brings up the question, who will be chosen to play at the all-star weekend?

I've thought about it a little bit and have come up with whom I think will make it:

    All-Star Game

Steve - Starts for the allstar team. Just like last year, even if he is injured for half the season, people are going to vote for the guy.

Mobley (If and only if he plays like the 2nd half of last season) - might make it as a back up or a last second replacement ala Brand. Also a side note, last year Mobley shot very well from the three point range. I noticed that he even had a better 3 point shooting percentage then a few of the players in it last year. In which case he might have a chance to make it there. (and there's always the celebrity game)

    Rookie Game

Griffin - No way does he not start for the Sophmore team. They snubbed him last year and they would regret doing it a second time.

Ming - I'm pretty sure that the asian population will be more than enough for the NBA to stick Ming in the game some where; also being one of the only centers picked in the first round helps a little bit.

    Extras

Moochie - Mobley couldn't pass the ball worth $%^& last year when Francis was in the dunk contest. If Steve is in it this year, I'm pretty sure we will see Moochie there throwing it to Francis for some nasty dunks.

Nachbar - I don't think he will get enough playing time to be noticed for the rookie game (same thing happened to Oscar.) If Rice gets injured, then Nachbar might have a chance at making it on the team.

I would sure love to see Cat make the all star team but with all the talent at sg in the west and for that matter in the entire league, I just don't see it happening unless he has a huge season. I'm talking 25 points a game huge. It could happen if we have a ton of injuries like last year but with all the talent we have I just don't see it happening.

Well I think if Szerbiak (Spelling) could make it, I'm pretty sure that Mobley could too.

Also, with Ming being the center of focus on the American people, the Rockets are going to have nice amount of nat. televised games. If Mobley can shine in a few of those, it might raise his stock.
