Who will join the IR once Piakowski and A. Griffin come off the IR?

Ford most likely to go to the side of the road. Perhaps also Meech. Has he had any floor time at all?

 

probably Amaechi and Wilks or Amaechi and Ford, definitely not Boki. I think it will be hard for Piatkowski and especially A.Griffin to get minutes with the way Boki, JJ, and Mobley are playing.

 

There is only one on IR now. I would think Willis Ford and Amaechi are the bubble guys. How many can be IR?

 

Well, let's see. I feel that neither will be back before the Mo Taylor suspension has run its course (this is just speculation. So considering this either Alton Ford will be sent to the IR or will be cut. After that, it wouldn't be too difficult to say that Wilks or Meech is up next (most likely Wilks). Neither gets a lot of p.t. but Meech is least likely, since Cato is starting at the 4 and there's not a legitimate backup center when he's out there with Yao. How does one classify EG's status? Will he be suspended or on the IR all year? Don't count out Braggs either, although, he has been a great defensive pressence this year.

So, in this case Mike Wilks, John Amaechi, Ben Davis, and Alton Ford are on the IR. Wait, can you have 4 players on the reserve list? What happens when or if Eddie Griff makes it back?

You can have three players on the IL, however, Mo and Eddie do not count towards that list because they are on the "suspended" list. Right now, they have 17 players on the roster - 12 active, 3 on the IL (Piatkowski, A. Griffin and Ben Davis) and 2 on the suspended list.

My guess is that Ford and Wilks will be the first to go to the IL as others return. There is also a chance Ford could be released. I wonder if the Rockets will put Ben Davis on the season-ending IL freeing up space there too.

They have plenty of options without having to make a trade.

 

From what it sounds like with the Ben Davis issue, you can't cut someone while he's on the injured list. If so, I doubt they put Alton Ford on the IL because they'll want to cut him when Mo Taylor returns.

 

I agree, Alton Fords gona have to be the player that gets cut as much as i like him its to bad

 

Ford gets cut, and Wilks and Amaechi move to the IR.

This is further complicated when/if Eddie returns. If he were to return, I believe another player would have to be cut. Most likely Wilks.

 

Please,oh please put Moochie on the injured list when Pike or AGrif go off. I can't stand watching when he's in the game because I know the play will result in a turnover,a crummy shot,or he'll miss seeing whoever gets open for a good shot.

We badly need a backup point.

I guess I am the only one that sees Boki going to the IR, if only because well have good depth at that position once AG and EP return. With the PF spot being thin, and Cato being foul prone, I think you have to have Amaechi available for spot duty. At least, until Mo or EG come back.

Id rather have excess depth at the 4/5 than the 2/3.

 

Amaechi seperates a breast tissue. Alton Ford becomes Alton Ford.

 

If a player is not injured, do they make up an Injurty to put the player on the IR

 

No I dont think they make it up. They just take a baseball bat or a crow bar and whack their ankles or back...then they go on IR with valid injuries.
