Hillary or McCain The American Voter never fails to surprise me. Maybe I should have voted in the primary. Great, Four more years of this war. I don't know maybe I will just vote for McCain, at least he probably won't raise taxes. It is kind of sad thinking about it.
You're insane. Obama came into tonight with a 160 delegate lead. Hillary, at best, reduced his lead to 140. She still can't win the nomination without a perfect storm of huge victories in virtually all remaining contests PLUS huge victories in re-votes in MI and FL (which races we don't even know will happen yet) PLUS super delegates breaking hard for her regardless of Obama almost certainly still maintaining SOME lead among actual voters even if each of the prior things happen. This is a stupid thread.

This thing kind of freaked me out. . . . I thought I had some kind of Spam/Virus or something cause my fricking speakers broke into song. . . . then I could not see a pop up for this . . . . Started closing threads and it stopped Anywhoo I think OBAMA is the guy Hillary is fighting hard. .. GOOD FOR HER but I think Obama has alot of Mo-Men-Tum Rocket River
Are you kidding? Obama is still a heavy favorite to beat Clinton. She didn't gain any ground on delegate count.
20 delegates IF THAT. Depending how this caucus turns out in Texas, she may not gain any ground, maybe 5-10 delegates once it is all said and done and he'll still have his demanding lead. knee-jerk reactions are awesome.
With all the Momentum He had how could obama lose. I don't think either candidate will get the 2024 delegates for nomination, and Hillary has more super delegates.
Superdelegates haven't made up their minds yet, and they can change their mind up till the end. Plus if you read the other thread, Major posted an article about superdelegates supporting Obama, but keeping quiet about it.
Exactly. She's leading supers by about 40 and there are allegedly about 50 getting ready to pledge to Obama. But even with HRC's current lead among supers she's down by 100 or more over all. It's insane to suggest Clinton would be favored now over Obama. The math is that it's impossible for her to tie (let alone win) without beating Obama by more than 30% in every remaining contest -- including the ones where he's clearly favored. Stupid thread. And, Air Langhi, yeah of course you should have voted. How anyone that cares about this stuff at all could not vote in the most important, most exciting, most closely contested race of our lifetimes blows my mind. Whatever your preference, please register before the general. The very best thing about this election cycle is that people that never did before are finally paying attention and participating. Participating in the political process in the freest country in the world is not just a right; it's a responsibility.
Washington Post-ABC News Poll 7/7a. If the 2008 presidential election were being held today and the candidates were (John McCain, the Republican) and (Hillary Clinton, the Democrat), for whom would you vote? Clinton 50% McCain 44% 8/8a. If the 2008 presidential election were being held today and the candidates were (John McCain, the Republican) and (Barack Obama, the Democrat), for whom would you vote? Obama 52% McCain 40% http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/polls/postpoll_030308.html?sid=ST2008030502748
An interesting nugget from the WSJ this morning... In three recent polls, (Fox, LA Times/Bloomberg and Gallup), almost twice as many Democrats support Mr. McCain as Republicans support Mr. Obama. Three times as many Democrats support Mr. McCain as Republicans back Mrs. Clinton.
