Will it be the Kings or Twolves? Ether way the western finals will be alot more watched and intense than the real finals!

    p.s. GO MINNI!!

I definitely want minnesota to win, but I'm afraid how they will perform in their biggest game yet. It's too questionable at this point. The only person I see stepping up would be Cassell. He seems to perform well under pressure. My prediction is the post-season of the kings will win this one.

I don't mind either team, but if push comes to shove, I'd probably root for the TWolves over the Kings. But my MO is "Beat L.A.," and I think the Kings have a better shot, so I'll be supporting Sacramento.

"Beat L.A." might be one of the worst chants, ever. It scores a 0 on creativity at the very least.

It wasn't even first started in Lakers basketball was it? Weren't the San Francisco Giants fans the first to start using this chant against the Los Angeles Dodgers?

Think you're right, if I remember correctly, it started in the early to mid 80's and just spread to Basketball.

Back to the king or wolves,

I don't care which one wins just as long as they beat those son of b*&*# fakers!!

If Queens beat Pups, and Net survives in the east, this is going to be a boring series...........

Neither team has a very good shot against the Lakers, especially considering how bad Olowokandi has been this year for Minny... I think the Kings stand a better chance to make it a real series.

i think you're right...only a combination of both teams would have a CHANCE to beat the lakers.

    C-Divac
    PF-KG
    SF-Peja
    SG-Spree
    PG-Cassell

    Bench-BMiller, Bibby, Christie

Yea that series would go to 7

Could somebody please give me a cogent argument as to why you call them the "Fakers?"

To me, it seems a little silly; and more than a little jealous. I am, by no means, a Lakers fan (more than than the other 28 teams besides the Bulls) -- and I cannot stand being in Los Angeles.

But, again, why do you call them "the Fakers?" Why the vitriol?

I wanna see Brad Miller and Malone get into it. But I like the Wolves too, they have more attitude as a team. KG, Spree and Cassell wont back down. Plus Cassell is more savy than Tony Parker. If he torches the Lakers and they change their defensive scheme for him, he'll find a way around it.

It's just a convenient nickname rhymed with Lakers. I think all these nicknames (t-pups, queens, etc.) are all silly. I seldom use them. It's pretty lame insult.

LA is going to steamroll whichever team wins this series.

    overreaction.

Everyone is handing them the trophy before the conference finals even start.

People seem to remember only what happened last, and things can change quickly. After Tony Parker had 2 great games at the beginning of the series, people were declaring him a great PG that Payton and the Lakers could never control.

    That changed fast.

    It could also change back.

The Lakers are beatable, and I believe (and hope) that Minnesota or Sacto will do it. I think Minnesota has the better chance, due to superior depth.

Why "Fakers?" In response to that, I ask, why "Queens?" Why "T-Pups?" Why "Allas?" Why "Sp*rs?"

They're all stupid, and are usually used by people who think that it sounds "cool."

They have 2 of the top 5 players in the league. The Spurs were the only shot at knocking them off. It's over.
