Hopefully Brooks, Novak, and Landry can get some PT and experience in the d-league. Dont know if Novak will get sent down but he should.

 

I could see snyder being cut and butler making it also.

I hate to say it but I think signing Mutombo was a mistake.

With such a loaded team, every roster spot is important. I feel a young player like a Novak or a Reed is more valuable than a veteran like Mutombo. Don't get me wrong, I love Mutombo. He's great guy, and great player. But I wish we didn't resign him so that we'd have 1 more roster spot.

 

Which one of those two were you thinking of playing center when Yao is out? Or did you prefer to go with 6'6" Hayes or 6"9" Scola (who's going to be starting at PF)? Butler certainly isn't capable of doing it yet.

 

SO who would you put at Yao's backup? Butler? Well Mutombo is old but damn he can still block and rebound. That's what we want from him

 

I would tend to agree, but some of the Rockets have been quoted as saying that Mutombos leadership and presence in the locker room is HUGE. If we are serious title contenders this year, then I'm all for keeping the veteran then molding some rookie that will benefit us in a few years.

Mike Harris got plenty of time too before he was cut and look what happened to him.

 

Snyder will NOT get cut. Francis would get cut before Snyder.

Then, Francis doesn't play the last game and you are all over the board dissing Francis again. You have to be brain dead if you seriously think Francis would get cut before Snyder. I think Lucas and Reed are almost locks to be cut. It's between Butler and Novak for the last spot.

BTW, it looks like Scola is going to start but Hayes will still play a lot. And Francis is going to be on the bench a lot. It's either Alston or James at the starting 1.
