That was unbelievable. The b*stard just completely wrote off the Rockets because of that 12-24 record. There are still 16 games left against the west. 2 winnable games against Seattle. 2 WINS against the CLips. 1 against the Warriors, and 1 against the Grizz. Two games remain against the Jazz, and I think the Rockets are going to surprise and win those games. 1 home game left against the Spurs will be a win, because the Rockets are going to be out for revenge, and will be looking to end the losing streak against SA. There's that Minnesota game that the Rockets are going to win, because the BBS guys are going to all be there. Add it all up, and you have at least 22 wins. A 22-30 record is not that bad when you figure in what is likely to be a 26-4 record against the east, and you have a playoff clinching 48 wins. At some point every fan has to completely cast off those tiresome burdens like "reality" and "logic" and give in to boundless optimism and trust that your team will eventually prevail. I'll put my neck on the line and in a Jim Fassel like guarantee I say we WILL be in the playoffs. Have you seen Minnesota's closing schedule? If we are just within 3-4 games of them going into April, we can beat them EASILY. They have the Lakers twice, Blazers twice, Kings, Jazz, Suns, Rockets, Mavs, and more all in the final month. I just find the anti-Rockets statements tiresome. We won two championships in the 90s, we have a solid organization, we've made rebuilding look easy, but we get called "country town" (or whatever) by Steve "Dumbass"---er, "Snapper"---Jones. We get no national TV games (well, one). We have whiny cheap-shot punk-ass b****es like Danny Ainge write us off. Whether or not we make the playoffs, this should all change, one way or the other, next season. Not completely, though. Try as we might, we will never turn into Boston or New York. Fine by me. How did ainge say it? Was it in a condescending manner? Not surprised at all he said it, considering he was Phoenix's coach. I'm sure he's bought into the false perception that the Rockets are just an ISO team and bad for the game. It's not like this guy knows that much about any of the teams he comments on.
