Bibi is neutering Israel’s Supreme Court, while other politicians are catering to their ultra-orthodox base and it appears the general Israeli populace is unhappy.

Who wants an Israeli civil war?

    “Violence is in the air.

The streets are simmering, and political arsonists are running loose. Millions feel cornered, threatened, and above all abused.

Every other day another reactionary lawmaker unveils a new provocation, eager to impress his following and spite everyone else. One plans the Israel Broadcast Corporation’s dismemberment, another wants to defund cultural events on Shabbat, a third wants to segregate the sexes in national parks, and a fourth calls for the opposition leader’s arrest.”

The fundamental problem with Israel is are they a "Jewish Country" or are they a "Democratic Country"? As demographics are changing those aren't necessarily combatible.

Same problem with India. I think the ethno-religious types will ultimately prevail.

There's a lot of discontent with the ultra orthodox in Israel. They've got the numbers (higher birthrate than more secular Israelis) to be over-represented in the Knesset and enjoy special privileges not afforded to other Israelis (don't have to serve in the military). The resentment comes from them turning around and trying to impose their religious will on other Israelis when the broader population doesn't see them as having any skin in the societal game. Netanyahu stokes the flames by aligning himself with them for power and being beholden to them to stay in office.

Horrible. And what's even worse, Palestinians celebrating this everywhere. What kind of people are like that?

This ‘conflict’ will never end, if there was a bet for this , I would say Ukraine and Russia will find peace first

The idea is, if they can keep Jewish citizenry where it is now (~75%), they can have both.

Of course, they'll change the laws to keep it that way if they have to.

    Like Palestinians in general?

I'm assuming they weren't raised in the best of conditions where they had autonomy on their water supply, electrical grid etc where it becomes really easy for people raised in those conditions to fall into very violent ideologies.

Is this like a question if sincere curiosity or a "Palestinians bad" comment pressed as a question? Like is this question spurred from utilizing empathy as a skill to try to understand how they reached to this point of celebrating deaths of other people?

In general, anybody attacking someone during a religious prayer is the scum of the earth. Their peers need to push their actions to the edge of the earth and condemn them.

that being said there is truth to what you said. Unfortunately the Uber religious types have held the majority of both people handicap. Shooting someone while praying /doing something sacred i don’t see any people supporting. Shoot one of their journalists, kids, starve their people and you gave evil organizations like hammas capitalize.

I saw a video recently with an arab American man (Christian) going back to Jerusalem and having a nice conversation with a Jewish man and his 10 year old daughter. It was friendly until she found out he was Arab and and then turned into insults where she didn’t consider him to be a human. That type of rhetoric from a child really opened my eyes on exactly how bad this is.

The solution is the Arabs in Israel need to move out, the world is dictated by those who have power and those who don’t. If the surrounding Arab countries were actually sincere in how they embolden them they would allow them to immigrate

here’s another instance with a reporter.

This is why America is the best
Regardless of people’s race , nobody wants to move back to North Korea, the Congo, Yemen , Cuba
They can’t get rich and enjoy the fruits of capitalism and not worry about the restrictions of religious states
If you don’t like where you live just move , and some people here who hate Texas , they can move to beautiful places such as Oakland California, south side of Chicago, Newark New Jersey and Canada
    @J.R. @AroundTheWorld
Plus where can you see Jews and Arabs and Christians in pure friendship throwing dollar bills at naked Black women on stage ?

generational hate is hard to break

    but possible

there just doesn't seem to be much hope for it

    https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/...leaders-to-confront-conflict-around-the-world

The dialogue sessions were interesting but difficult, Staiti said. “I was still really traumatized and having to talk with people I had up until now only thought of as enemies … was hard.” At first, the young people eyed each other with suspicion, but their hostility melted away over the weeks of shared space.
