There is enough contemplation about the Rockets 1st round pick, but lets detour and look into the second round. Especially since our pick is pretty high and almost as good as a late 1st round pick. From the above list, who do you think the rockets should draft? Should we be drafting to fill in spots on the roster or should we be drafting the best player on the board?
It depends on what we do with our first round pick. Are 2 biggest weaknesses are SG/SF who can shoot and a tough PF. Guys who fit that bill who could be in available in the 2nd round include Mike Gansey, Denham Brown, Nick Fazekas, Marcus Vinicius, Paul Millsap, Rudy Fernandez, James White and Marcus Slaughter.
Not in my mind it doesn't. We need to pick the best available players, regardless of position. Our depth is so pitiful that we can't afford to pick by position.
It's funny, I voted for Ager and I agree with you. There is probably no way he falls to the second round.
well, i threw in the name because he isnt solid by any means to be in the first round. people have dropped light years after the draft combine. I can take it out if yal think its just too stupid or never going to happen.
Not necessary. Leave him in. Those of us familiar with Ager have the option to vote for him. IMO, Ager's current rating is in large part tied to how bad a season Michigan St. had this year. It's not often a Final Four team returns it's core starters and goes out in the first round. I've said it before and I'll repeat. Ager is Mobley with Francis' vertical. He's entered in the 2006 College Slam Dunk Championship and 3 point shoot out. http://msuspartans.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/032906aaa.html Ager has an unusual connection to the Rockets.
