the poll should have Steve Francis as a choice. I think it should be Steve Francis or other. I wonder what percentage would rather have someone other than Steve at point.

Andre Miller is porbably out of the running because it is likley that he heads to Utah to fill Stockton's shoe's because he played college ball there.

Singing Gilly Arenas will be kind of tough for the Rox since his expected contract would probably take them into luxeryland, a place Les doesnt want to go. Mooch is out because he is best suited coming off the bench. Not to say that he is a bad player, but he gives this team that spark they need of the bench a-la Bobby Jackson with the Kings for Bibby.

That leaves us with Parker. Parker will probably looking for a new home after Kidd arrives in SA (which I think is a big mistake because he is a minor upgrade but is ten years older). We could trade Cat for Parker. Cat would be a great compliment with Kidd in SA as Kidd could set up the sharpshooter Cat with his great passing abilities. As for Parker and the Rox, Parker knows how to run an offense and get the big man involved in it. Just ask Tim Duncan and "The Mermaid ugh.......Admiral nah...........Private" David Robinson. He has already established himself as one of the better PG's in this league and he is really young, which allows an incredible amount of upside to his game. But Micheal Redd would be interesting since he is in the same mold of former-Buck teammate Ray Allen but at a cheaper price.

After this season, I think it has really become painfully obivious that Francis is better suited as a SG, like in his college days. He is a deserved two-time all-star, but we need someone who can run an offense and get the big men down low involved. This really opens up the offense and the passing lanes, not Steve and Cat's version of And 1 isolation basketball. Steve needs to go back to being an SG like he was because that's where his game excelled the most.

I really doubt the Rockets bring in another PG...

Anybody, but Steve Francis. What about me; I am tanned, rested, and ready. I have a 1 inch vertical leap, I am fluid as ice, and I can still dunk (donuts).

    MOVE FRANCIS TO THE TWO!

If I were Tony Parker, I'd smack you for spelling my name like that...

Let's bring Kenny Smith out of retirement...

There has been a lot of talks here about acquiring Kidd. However, I think that is out of the question for the following reasons.

    1) We do not have enough cap space. Here is a good article about this issue -http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/story/64911p-60478c.html

    2) I believe the Rockets organization are going to give the core of this team a chance to develop. So instead of all that money they have to pay Kidd, they could use that to acquire some quality players at the 3 or 4 or even 2 position (which might include some trade). If the rumor about the trade involving EG and Cat for Brand was true, then if appears that is the position they felt needs the most help. Not only would it helps establish our present down low along with Yao, but to help slow down (at most neutralize) the talented PF (i.e. Duncan, Garnett, etc.) in the western conference for us to have a chance in the West.

    Other- Steve Francis.

What's funny to me is that everybody assumes we can make whatever move we want. We can't pay Miller and we certainly cannot pay Kidd. If Kidd goes to San Antonio, isn't it expected that New Jersey would sign and trade so that they could get Parker? And even if that, the most highly likely of all scenarios, doesn't happen, Cat makes 6 times as much as Parker. Who should San Antonio throw in, Bruce Bowen? Great, another defensive minded 3 who can't score or shoot worth a lick. Shandon Anderson-James Posey-Bruce Bowen-???????

I keep reading these stories about how unhappy the Bulls are with Jay Will. I'm not a big fan of his, for obvious reasons, but I wonder what the Bulls would take for him. I know he can't shoot but he handles the ball and passes pretty well. Seems intriguing.
