It is clear to me now that we can get deep into the playoffs THIS year if we run our offense through Yao. Therefore, he has to be our #1 option.

    Please vote...

If Yao is tired, it is Steve
If Yao is not tired, it is Yao

Right now... 50% should go to Yao. Next season, it should be all Yao. 7-5' guy with skills is so rare now, why not make full use of it.

Yao. It isn't that he is a more accomplished scorer, but if you get him comfortable early and he starts drawing double teams, that makes for better shots for the others.

It should start All Yao all the time..as much as he can handle..where should the offense finish? That's different..A lotta Francis, Yao, Mobley..let the defense of the opposing team determine where you go. The ball goes to the open man..but it all starts with Yao!

The thing I cant stand is when one of our guys shoots a quick jumper with a guy in their face without throwing it down low prior to the shot (Steve, Cat, Eddie). NOTE: Its been better as of late.

I mean, if they like that 20 foot jump shot, throw it to Yao first and he will get it back at you and you will be WIDE OPENED with NO ONE in your face and IN THE FLOW of the game! Those quick pull ups I tell you are gonna cause the end of me. I probably aged a few years just thinking about those...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this has been discussed this month, last month and the month before that and the month before that.

I have to go with Yao Ming. The 7’5” man with in 10 feet of the goal that hits over 50% of his shots should always be your first option.

They should both be our #1 option. When Yao is struggling, give it to Steve. When Steve isn't shooting properly, give it to Yao. I think they should both share the ball. Next year, I think the Rockets should let Yao touch the ball at least once every possession they have. Everything should be operated through Yao. If he is not doing well or is not making anything, we can let Steve control it. BUT Steve will hopefully continue to have his 20 points...6 rebounds...and 6 assists per game. Hopefully they have learned that if they all share the ball...they can all be happy and score and win! I think they'll forget tonight though.. :(

It's disturbing that 13 people said Francis and 6 said neither.

    Littley,

I think you have now become my favorite poster. You REALLY love Francis huh? He is a good guy and I like him too.. I think he has the athleticism and skills to be the best PG for the next 10 years IF he only played smarter. That is why I am so frustrated with him. But there is no doubt that he is extremely talented. Its his BB IQ that I question.

Keep on posting. Looking foward to reading your other thoughts and dont feel bad about Francis. We Rox fans complain only because we love em.. Otherwise, we wouldnt even care... ;)

    I don't REALLY love Francis.

I like Yao more than him. But no one ever criticizes Yao! So there's nothing to defend. Everybody loves Yao! He is everyone's favorite little giant.

But Francis...he's just a normal old player. I guess you are right.

"We Rox fans complain only because we love em.. Otherwise, we wouldnt even care... "

    AND THEN YOU SAY...

    "Just kidding with ya!"

It's doesn't matter who is the #1 option, whoever opens get the ball. But the offense must go through Yao. When he gets touches good things seem to happen.
