    Rockets have a solid foundation for a championship team with Yao and Stevie, two players that cannot be covered one on one in a tight game. Yet the question beg to ask is are they clutch enough for Houston to win another Championship?

    I think the Rockets need a player like NVE, who is clutch and can handle the ball in close games, in order to compete for a championship. Not sure about Pike's game, I thought he could be clutch. But after watching him this season, too much california sun hasn't been good for his motivation.

    Flatout......you better hope that Francis and Yao are both playing as good as they can....cause otherwise we get knocked out in the second round at best.

    Neither one can carry this team on their own thru the course of the season and post-season.....they need each other to punish opposing defenses.

    In order for Yao to not be mobbed to stop hiim...we need the other guys to be threats to kill the opponents if they decide to take Yao out of the offense.

    Without another offensive threat...Yao gets killed...without Yao...Francis gets killed..

    It isnt a situation where you can only have one...you have to have both in order for this to work.

    Good point because I was starting to agree with the starter of the thread that we really do not have a go to guy. Defense can carry this team a long ways even with the shortcomings at the offensive end.
