I found this gif on the net, but does anyone know the name of this hockey player that wanted to fight but fell down? How did he responded after he fell...did he continued to fight or was he too embarass to?

    Swoly follows hockey

(or he's pretty good with google).

No fight. The other player went to the bench as Phaneuf did the turtle dance (probably LOLing).

Swoly has already given his name but it wouldn't be hard to verify it. I mean you know his number (#3) and the team he plays for in Calgary. All you have to do is find a Flames roster. Plus the name of the gif has "Dion" in it, so that should be another indication of the guy's name (or part of it).

I didn't want to start a hockey thread (partially out of embarrassment), but I figure since one is already started I would drop this in here.

Did anyone see the goal by Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Captals against the Phoenix Coyotes last week? Simply disgusting!

Wayne Gretzky called it one of the greatest goals he has ever seen. Needless to say it dominated Sportscenter's Top Ten

Dion Phaneuf is the Flames player that fell when trying to fight Jarko Ruutu. He tripped on his own stick that was on the ice while squaring up as well as Jarko's that was twisted around his left leg. I think Jarko found it funny and went to the bench, while Dion got a major penalty (for dropping his glove with intent to fight).

oh, and Ovechkin's goal was the most incredible goal i remember seeing.

It looks more like number 37 tripped him. He puts his stick just behind the guy's left knee and pulls.
