Who is the baseball player who is dating the editor of the homosexual magazine that has been reported the last week or so. I hope this doesn't offend anyone but I just heard on the radio that it's a team near the nations capital and he has had a throwing problem. Other clue all along is it's an East Coast team and he is not a super-star but is a well known player. The nations capital seems to insinuate the Orioles. The throwing problem seems to say Knoblack from the Yankees. Any thoughts or ideas?
Brady Anderson. ------------------ www.swirve.com "Pre-born, you're fine, pre-school, you're f*****."-George Carlin
Brady works out and has long sideburns. A few years ago, allegedly alot of gay males voted Brady the most attractive ball player. He has denied everything and dates a supermodel. ------------------ "norm, would you like to buy an indian scalp ? This deal isn't gonna make or break me Norm, so don't jerk me around." I think it all started with his parents naming him "Brady". What the hell were they thinking? ------------------ "Empire" had the better ending. The dude said the player plays for an east coast team, outfield, long sideburns, and is a familiar name. Brady fits all the categories. He's gay. ------------------
I tell you what, if looking like him automatically makes you gay, a lot of women are going to be very disappointed. He is obviously a very handsome guy. ------------------ The internet is about the free exchange and sale of other people's ideas. - Futurama
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he is gay, I don't think he is. That's just what I had heard. ------------------ www.swirve.com "Pre-born, you're fine, pre-school, you're f*****."-George Carlin
Jeff, are you gay ?!!?!?!?! LOL, I'm only kidding. ------------------ "norm, would you like to buy an indian scalp ? This deal isn't gonna make or break me Norm, so don't jerk me around." Harry Carey "Norm, if I had a mohawk scalp, I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you."
I know it's sad, but if I were that player I wouldn't come out of the closet. He shouldn't have to be silent, and I understand his boyfriend's concern, but it's going to be hell for him if it's found out... ------------------ A few years back on the Senate floor... I don't know much about baseball. I follow the Astros with only a passing interest, and I don't really know too much about the rest of the league. But when I was in college, I knew several of my school's ball players and they ALL said that Brady Anderson was gay. I don't know if he is or not, but since he's dating a super-model, then I guess not. ------------------ "I have no regrets except that I wasn't up to keep Randy from getting on that plane." --Ozzy Osbourne on guitarist Randy Rhodes

I should have put in a smiley I don't know if Brady is gay or not. From the statements made in that magazine, one could come to that conclusion. ------------------
Oh my God, that's funny. Anyway of COURSE Brady Anderson is gay. He's better-looking than me, and it has long been my contention that any male who is better-looking than me is, in fact, queer.
I'm gonna throw out another statement that I've heard before - no offense to anyone... "Most people who are homophobic are homosexuals themselves" Anyone heard/read that one before? ------------------
Does that mean Buster Poindexter is a heterosexual? I'm extremely relieved! ------------------ "Blues is a Healer" --John Lee Hooker [This message has been edited by RocketMan Tex (edited May 24, 2001).]

That is a very broad generalized concept that applies at times but not at others. Many people who see traits in others that they find distasteful in themselves represent that in the form of anger or hatred towards that person. It's a way to deflect anger that would normally be directed inward at oneself towards someone else. It is a form of self hatred. It is a fairly common psychological condition in males. Women tend to turn their dislike of themselves inward and men tend to turn it outward. In cases of homosexuality, it can be particularly accute in men who discover those feelings in themselves but were raised in an environment intolerant of that lifestyle. As a way to project a positive heterosexual image and as a way to deflect the anger and shame a person has, he could become a homophobe. However, this is extremely general and a blanket statement like that should never be used simply because there are too many possibilities to account for that don't fit that model. ------------------ The internet is about the free exchange and sale of other people's ideas. - Futurama
What do y'all think? Should he come out? I say "absolutely not!!". Not because I care, or that I'll dislike the player then, or anything like that, but that this guy will really have it difficult from that point onward. The editor seems to think that it's not a big deal if his boyfriend comes out, that it'll be all peachy. Lockerrooms and clubhouses are a totally different world. The players may publically take it well, but the guy will be ragged on, made fun of, ostrasized and generally made miserable. The only possibility is this: he could be like a "martyr" -- take one for the team, ya know? He could be a gay role-model, etc. Possibly inspiring other players to come out. And if that's worth it to him, then more power to him. But his baseball days will be much, much different. ------------------ "Down South is where I stay, switch four lanes, . . . from the Antoine to the MLK, these H-Town boys like to swang and bang" - Mista Madd feat.
