Yao: Can't score on Kurt Thomas when they needed him.

Novak: Looking lost, and not a superhuman shooter as advertised. Is he any better than Padgett?

Spanoulis: Did not shut down the Suns when he was in.

As of right now, Novak easily.

He's just completely lost out there.

No question about that. JVG would get my nod if you count him as a fraction of a Rocket.

calm down, it's just one loss, against the suns, on back to back. Yao played heavy minutes recently, and shot 6 of 11 tonight, it's not like he missed a lot of shots, what more do you want from him? Novak seldom gets off the bench and was suddenly asked to start tonight? He's got to be nervous, and 40% from 3 is not terrible by all means. KillBill has his ups and downs and unfortunately the recent 3 games he is in a groove. Neither Novak nor KillBill is THE answer for the suns, and they haven't got enough chance to play comfortably.

JVG really needs to re-think his game plan against the suns. This is not the first time we got burned by them. He should watch how Phil Jackson's Lakers beat the suns from time to time. You utilize your strengths and expose the opponent's weaknesses. You try to post-up the whole suns team, slow down and grab every rebound possible. Yet we give up rebound in keeping Hayes on the bench, going small and shoots twice as many 3 as the suns. We're simply trying to be the super-suns and we can't be successful that way. I blame this loss mainly on the coaching, not the players.

Your sarcasm is not lost on me, Gundier.

But to answer the question, on this BBS, Novak and Spanoulis are the most overrated. That is not their fault, as they are rookies with potential, but are not yet the consistent difference makers they are made out to be.

Hard to say Alston is overrated on this board. He is routinely flamed here.

He frustrates the hell out of me at times, but to give credit, he was a big part of the win last night and the comeback tonight. Of course he and T-Mac then proceeded to shoot us back out of the game, but that is a different story.

I would say Novak... his defense is just horrible, I love this guy but he needs to work on his defense a whole lot more before he sees any minutes... vspan on the other hand is not that bad...he just needs to cut down on stupid fouls and stupid mistakes and he'll be alright

You overrated youself. Stop calling yourself Gundy please.
This is just ONE game and I see the hope in the 3rd quarter. We would win the game if T-mac shot a little bit better, like in last 1 min. But it is still a huge progress comparing last year. This is about team tempo, psychology, way above you can read.
Novak and V-span need time to grow. Nothing to blame. Yao is too tired, I think, but the 3rd quarter he plays well. I think Yao was in a little bit hurry when he plays with Amare. 3 early foul affected his rhythm. That is it. Go Rox!

I would have to go with the player that was declared one of the greatest role players of all-time, Shane Battier.

Not when J-Hoe isn't even playing much, ZBoy.

    Rafer by a far shot.

As for McGrady, I think the Rockets should strike a deal with the Astros where they can trade him to be their fifth starting pitcher.

But who would you want back in that deal? Bagwell?

Do you think there might be a slight correlation between the amount of playing time that Novak has received and the degress of his "lostness" on the court?
