OK. I'm wondering your opinion on who is the better steal in the 2nd round. Cat or Cassell? I really don't know

    Thats easy. Cat.

Sam was not a 2nd round pick.

Thats a tough one. Both can hit tough, clutch shots, both are aggressive, both have incredible mid range games.......But Cat has become a better defensive player lately. BTW, 2 of my favorite all time players.

Sam was a first rounder, not a 2nd. If Sam and Cat where the same age right know and I could pick between which one I'd want on the Rockets I'd pick Sam.

I have to go with the one that helped win us two championships.

I'd go with Cassell simply because I think he turned out to be a much better player.

of course Cat still has a chance to change my mind. :)

Cat's the better steal. No one lower in that draft was anywhere close to the player Cat turned out to be...not to mention he was our 4th pick that year.

Sam was a steal, but we passed on Nick Van Exel to get him...so, it is harder to say whether Sam was even the best player still on the board.

btw: we passed on Van Exel twice (in the 2nd round as well).

Cuttino, b/c he is more atheletic than Sam I am.
Sam gets too dribble happy and can barely dunk.

Cat can jam it with no problem.

At this stage in their careers, I'd take Mobley. He still has potential to be a star, while Cassell's skills are starting to erode.

But, from their rookie years, I'd go with Cassell. Good point guards are much harder to find than above-average shooting guards.

Cat was the point guard in his rookie year.

At least Sam was funny. Remember when he high-fived the ref who was signaling Sam's just-made 3 pointer? Classic. :)

what Newjack said Cassell. The Rockets don't win that first championship without Cassell hitting that clutch 3 pointer in the garden. So it's Cassell, if you care about winning championships.

Mario Elie beat the Suns with the KoD. That doesn't mean that I would take him over Yao, who has contributed to one trip to the lottery when we don't even get the pick.
