i do believe that team record should affect if you play or not, so here is my starting 5

    west -
duncan (yao missed too many games and his team record stinks - sorry)
    nowitzki
marion (if t-mac hadnt missed so many games and his teams record didnt stink he would definately be my pick)
    kobe
    nash

    east -
honestly, i would pick the pistons starting 5, but that wouldnt be as fun

    shaq
    o'neal
    lebron
    wade
    billups

    absolutely...im just not a homer :p

like i said, i think your teams record should factor into it. i wouldnt leave yao or t-mac off the roster, i just dont think either of them deserve to start.

i love yao, but he's been injured a significant portion of the season. paul has completely turned around a pathetic hornets team.

he's been fantastic and to say that paul should get the nod over yao is not being a troll.

wow, what can i say about this other than its time to get a clue. yao and camby have missed a large portion of the season. davis and allen both play for losing teams. and you leave out nowitzki, the best player on the 3rd best team in the nba. all i can say is wow. talk about ridiculous.

agreed. both tracy and yao deserve to be ON the team but they shouldn't be starting. they've missed a lot games and the rockets are one of the worst teams in the league. don't call some us "fake" or not "real" fans because we don't think they should be starting.

    my team:

    West:
    C - Tim Duncan
    PF - Elton Brand
    SF - Shawn Marion
    SG - Kobe Bryant
    PG - Steve Nash

    Reserves -
Kevin Garnett, Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming, Carmelo Anthony, Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, Chris Paul, Baron Davis, Ray Allen

    East:
    C - Ben Wallace
    PF - Jermaine O'Neal
    SF - Lebron James
    SG - Allen Iverson
    PG - Chauncey Billups

    Reserves -
Dwyane Wade (would start if you could throw J.O'Neal at center, move LBJ to PF), Richard Hamilton, Shaq, Chris Bosh, Michael Redd, Paul Pierce, Vince Carter, Dwight Howard, Gilbert Arenas

to quote the thread title: "who is on your all-star team?"

well, i hate nowitzki and i love davis and allen. so i put them on my all-star team. i was just making teams of who i'd want to see most if i attended the game. therefore i put players that i enjoy watching more than who i think deserves to be there...is there something wrong with that?

as the great TMAC640 once said...suck "DEEZ NUTS"

Vecsey is reporting that Vince Carter, Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace, Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton, Paul Pierce, and Chris Bosh will be the East's reserves, apparently Stern hasn't picked Jermaine O'neal's replacement.

How much pressure does that put on Detroit? Sheesh!

It's all-star, not best team record. According to you guys:

    West: Dallas starting five.
    West reserve: Spurs starting five.
    East: Pistons starting five.
    East reserve: Heats starting five.

    You happy?

If you say, wait, team record is not absolute decideing factor, we need to consider others as well. Then, give us a format, what factor takes what percentage of the final result to give you the final conclusive professional opinion, that TMac and Yao should be no where near the all-star game.

    west:
    Yao
    Duncan
    Tmac
    Kobe
    Nash

    Reserve:
    Brand
    Gasol
    Marion
    Parker
Kirilenko -even though he missed alot of the season
    Cassell
    Carmelo
    Garnett

    East lineups are fine.
although i wouldnt have given the spot to Rasheed wallace, i would have given it to Arenas or Dwight Howard
