Here's what Chad Ford had to say about Marcin: Marcin Gortat, C, Poland He got onto NBA radar screens last spring at the Reebok Big Man camp in Treviso, Italy. He actually won the camp's dunk contest. Gortat is a legit 7-footer with good athletic ability and agility for a big man. He's long and active and has turned himself into a solid shot-blocker and rebounder. He could surprise people. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft2005/columns/story?columnist=ford_chad&id=2078656&num=0
Well, he's only had limited minutes, but perhaps he could provide some much needed zb's, although I am concerned about his prz's.
He's an athletic 7 foot, 240 lbs. What weight do you want him at? Shaq-size? Kevin Garnett is 6-11, 220 Amare Stoudemire is 6-10, 245 Rashard Lewis is 6-10, 215 Rasheed Wallace is 6-11, 230 What are they all eating?!
From what I can decipher in his stats, he's not much of a rebounder or shot blocker. I wouldn't touch him with a seven-foot Pole.
What happin to KAS13? He was filling us in on these workouts. Did people piss him off becuase they didn't like his use of the word "throating?"
When are the Rockets gonna workout some of the more well known players? I was excited to hear they worked out Joey Graham but they really havent had any other big name players, except for a few local products. Julius Hodge is about the only other recognizible name I can remember.
sounds like the rockets are in the market for a second round draft pick. I think they already have a trade lined up. why else would they be bringing in projected second rounders to work out.
