Did Jonathan Feigen get fired or something, cause the Rockets artilce of the day and the rockets notes section is by this dude named Jeffrey Martin. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6909584.html I don't really care it just caught me off guard. Feigen didn't really report anything you don't know a week in advance before he reports it anyways.
It's not his first article about Rockets. Jeffrey Martin also works for Houston Chronicle. He something emerges when Feigen is ill or busy at other things.
I expected OP to be ranting about how someone accidentally mixed JJ and Martin's names in a chronicle article. I was pleasantly surprised.
I actually know this guy, he comes into my Starbucks every morning, I make his coffee. Super nice, very knowledgeable. He basically writes for all the sports beats.
I think he's the one who writes the daily article(s) when Feigen gets the day off. Makes sense that he'd take a few days off with this long stretch between games.
Every major sports team: Texans, Astros, and Rockets are supposed to have 2 people or more covering them. It use to be Jonathan and Fran for the Rockets with a few other guys contributing too. The Chronicle had some cutbacks the last couple of years so they are using Jeffrey Martin as the backup for multiple sports. Jonathan can't be the only person covering the Rockets. That's too much work for 1 reporter.
Why is there even a thread about this? I'm tired of seeing threads like this that waste space. I'm dying for an interesting thread already.
An example of what's happening to print media everywhere. It'll continue until a way for them to profit from the internet is found.
