Who, in your mind, is the most disappointing potential 13th pick?

Of all the potential picks at #13 for Houston, who would leave you the most disappointed?

The way I view this is as follows: Most seem to be happy if Vladimir Radmanovic, Pau Gasol, Joe Johnson, Shane Battier or Sagana Diop slide and are taken by the Rockets at #13, which virtually assures that Houston will not come away with one of those players.

This is group therapy or disappointment preparation -- who do you think the Rockets realistically could pick that would leave you the most disappointed if David Stern says their name after, "With the 13th pick, the Houston Rockets select..."?

Michael Bradley. Fills no needs. He is not a center, doesn't play good defense, and is not close to being a good shotblocker. Stay away.

Haywood is by far the scariest pick. He has no offense. He played well in college because he is bigger than everyone else. I think he is going to be a total bust.

I would have to say Richard Jefferson. This is sort of off the topic, but when did "The Cat" become a moderator?

Short of those guys that Clutch mentioned I think that the only other player that I could stand at 13 is Troy Murphy. Kedrick Brown at least is exciting if the Bonzi Wells rumors were true... that seems to suggest some sort of skill level.

I wholeheartedly expect Rudy to draft Brendan Haywood though.

Outside of those Clutch mentioned and other highly touted guys, I would love to draft Loren Woods. I could tolerate Murphy.

Please Rudy, stay away from Haywood. You can make it my birthday present. You can draft him at #13 for the Pistons though. [IMG]

Bradley worries me too, as well as anyone under 6'7''.

Randolph would be a mistake, too. PF should be the least of our concerns, since we're almost assured either MoTay or CWebb this offseason.

I don't understand why anyone would be upset if so-and-so from college was picked by the Rockets, yet be okay with them taking a foreign or high school player who (I'm assuming) you've never seen play. Why is everyone so confident about these European guys when you probably haven't seen them in action? Are you just going by what you read? Seems to me that they would be more of an unknown than almost any college player. Ditto the high school guys.

I was wondering that myself... I just noticed it earlier this afternoon, and I was like, "What the?!?"

I guess I should pay more attention...

    DarkHorse and DaneB,

I'm moderator of the fantasy forum, because I host the league we have going there. I needed a way to be able to check IP's and do other such administrative functions, so that we could be sure that one poster did not own multiple teams-- no Ray Allen conspiracies allowed here at CC.net. [IMG]

Oh, I guess I should address the topic...

Unless they really go and pull some other CD/Rudy-esque pick out of nowhere, I don't think I'll be disappointed at all with out pick...

I mean, any of the guys that are likely to go in the top 13-15 I would be pretty content with...

If we pick someone that's not in this group, I'll be upset... (at least initially)

Haywood and Woods scare me. Something about Woods transferring from Wake Forest to get away from Duncan's shadow does not look good, seeing as he will follow Dream, if we draft him.

Sounds like fun actually, I need to check it out. When does it start up again?
