Carmelo Anthony. I've been saying since he was at Syracuse: he is a better player than LeBraun James.

Stephen Jackson and I'd even give David West a nod. He nails that consistently...I'd say more often than posting up.

Kobe, and it's why he's gone to another level the last 2 years after it looked like he was slipping. His mid-range jumper is automatic and is why he's still arguably the best player in the game. Melo is great, but specifically from mid-range, he doesn't equal Kobe.

Kobe's virtual abandonment of the 3-point shot has been a very smart decision and is the reason his FG% is at a career-high. When you add-in his improved post game from 8-12 feet, the guy is the definition of a mid-range assassin.

    I'd go with Kobe.

Carmelo is good. Honorable mention also to Nowitzki and Nash.

obviously cassel is gone, but he was one of the most overlooked game changers in the league, and amazing mid range

for anyone who says lebron, i hope that was sarcasm i just didn't pick up on, hes gotten better and is streaky, but still has holes and ways to go on that

for midrange i'd have to goto melo, kobe, rip today with the most refined mid range games, rip can't create as much the first two are deadly iwth the ball ni their hand mid range or any where really

takes the cake imo. Most underrated shooter in the league, even when he is getting MVP consideration.
