Covid Clown thinks there's rampant voter fraud... Presumably there will be a headline like:

Voter Fraud: Dead Voters vote in Dead Fraud President.

From 538, who did an article on this topic a few months ago... who the heck know.

Pildes put it bluntly: “We’ve been lucky. We have actually had some presidents who have died shortly after taking office but not somebody who died either between the convention and the election, or after being elected and becoming the president-elect.” And if that were to happen this year, it would likely create intraparty division, uncertainty among voters or a tidal wave of litigation. Let’s hope that the country’s luck doesn’t run out in 2020.

Thank you. I don't get why people fall all over themselves to extrapolate so quickly.
Isn't the actual reality of 2020 enough?
    a. He may be lying.
    b. Odds are he will be fine, maybe with a bad bout, but surviving just fine.
    c. Pence is testing negative so far (last I checked, but I've had a couple of hours of meetings, LOL).

Too late to change the ballots. People are already voting anyway.

Yep. This is why I've been saying it's not good for the country if the President dies this close to the election.

Given that ballots are already printed and people have voted Trump's name can't be removed from the ballot. If Trump dies but the Republican ticket wins Pence is President. If Pence can't serve the Republican party could try to put someone else out there and push for a write in. In the cases of Wellstone and Mel Carnahan who both died around this close to election the state allowed the party to name a replacement who would step if that ticket won. For example Carnahan's name was on the ballot and he won but his wife took his place in the senate. NOt sure if that can work for the Presidency.

It has nothing to do with how or who would be responsible for his death but the practicality of printing new ballots. Also what to do about votes already cast.

Yea, my initial reaction was... NO. We don't need more chaos, which was built on not just Trump being positive, but that there is good potential that it's all over the WH, maybe even beyond that and into Congress, all made possible because of reckless behaviors on these Republicans.

If Congress start to fall one after another, I also blame both leaders there. Those group of people aren't exactly young. I don't get why they don't have rapid testing, work remotely, vote remotely...

Potential is destabilizing of government. Yes, that's worse case and chance is small, but the impact is huge.

If Trump were to be unable to run, Martin Bormann would likely be put on the ticket.

It might be devastating to the repubs if he drops out/passes. Seeing how insane my mother was tonight I could see her refuse to vote because of “the deep state”.

There are a ton of crazies like her in this country.

You said exactly what I thought when I read this thread title. I can see that dog now, drooling over the chance to get more power. He is such a horrible jellyfish of a man, spineless and soft when it comes to standing up to Trump. He acts so high and mighty Christian, but doesn't give a damn how many people will die because of their negligent, irresponsible greed driven policies during this deadly pandemic!!
