Most people'd put Amaechi and Wilks on IR. While I agree that they are the least talented on the team, they man the 2 most important positions: center and PG. If Cato or Yao foul out, what do u do? What if the same happens to Steve or Mooch?
Taylor can play some 5. Yeah, if both Yao and Cato foul out, we are in deep trouble, doesn't matter who the 3rd string is. It is almost certain that Wilks will be in the doghouse, although I wish it would be Moochie. If both Steve and Moochie are in foul trouble, Cat and JJ both can play some PG minutes. We are deep at the 2 and 3 spots when Pike and AG come back. So sliding Cat or JJ to the 1 won't affect the wing positions too much.
Unfortunately, Amaechi will probably stay on the active roster because he has experience and he gives us a backup at C if Cato is playing mostly at the 4. I picked Padgett and Wilks, but hopefully Amaechi goes to the IL cuz he sucks.
Amaechi and Wilks no doubt should be the 2 to take the IR spots vacated by Pike and Griffin, however knowing the rockets and their wacked thinking that rockets #1 stated...they'll keep Amaechi and Wilks for the 3rd backup and place Padgett and Braggs on IR. Little known fact: 3 games Braggs played--3 games won 1 game Braggs didn't play--1 loss
I don't know why u say it's wacky thinking by the Rockets... Don't most teams keep 3 centers and 3 PGs on their active rosters? In any case, they won't put 2 PF on IR, especially with MoT's situation right now.
