The only 4 teams we can play are POR, DAL, LAC, and SAS.

There are 8 possible outcomes tonight.

    Per samtaylor,

    50% - Portland Trail Blazers
    16.67% - Dallas Mavericks
    16.67% - Los Angeles Clippers
    16.67% - San Antonio Spurs

    Per RockingRox:

If the Rockets win, depending on if the Spurs win or lose, Rockets either 2 or 5.

If the Rockets lose, depending on if the Grizzlies win or lose, Rockets either 5 or 6.

Who do you want in the 1st round?

I picked Dallas. Not because of what you said but just because I hate them more than any other team in sports period.....actually tied with the cowboys

At this point it's not just about the first round, it's about your potential 2nd round matchup. Dallas/Portland - the degree of difficulty is almost insignificant.

Dallas. Not that I have any problem with facing Portland, but a Mavs first round matchup means we won the division and clinched the 2nd seed. We'd have home court in Round 2, avoid the Warriors til the WCF(assuming we both get there), and possibly even avoid the Spurs til the WCF if Memphis also loses to the Pacers tonight.

If you assume 50/50 chance for each game then:

    50% - Portland Trail Blazers
    25% - Dallas Mavericks
    12.5% - Los Angeles Clippers
    12.5% - San Antonio Spurs

Exactly. Getting caught up trying to worry about the second round matchup can get you put out in the first. Each round is going to be tough regardless.

    Beat the Jazz tonight.

Whatever happens, happens. Whoever we get matched up against, that's who we play.

Then go out and dominate them. Win in 5 games. Shut up all of the media who says that Harden only plays for fouls and his style doesn't work in the playoffs. Shut everyone up who says Dwight his past his prime and isn't competitive enough. Shut everyone up who says that the Rockets strategy of 3-pointers or layups won't work.

And please, for the love of God, hit some free throws!

That SA / NOP game has a lot on the line for both teams , probably worth tuning in for on the playoff implications alone , not to mention that the Spurs are fun to watch as is AD (not so much the rest of the Pelicans).

NOP Win and you are in , lose & you sit out the playoffs (OKC will beat Minny) and give up your late lotto pick.

SAS Win and you are the 2 seed , lose and you could fall to the #6 spot with 55 Wins!

You figure 55 W's should be good enough to win a division or at least home court .... I think its insane that a team could win 55 games and end up the 6 seed. Consider that the Rockets have only won 55+ five times in their history.

The 7 seed Mavs could post a 50 win season ... with a win in their final game against a beat up Portland.

Sure hope NOP can do us a solid and knock off the Spurs ....

He's just another jackass that likes to troll the board and try to be a poor man's version of Carl Herrera or a rich man's version of basketballholic. He posted like a normal person on Houston Imports but decide Clutchfans was the place for him to develop his douche online persona.

**** the Mavs, but the Blazers are ***** too. Blazers excuse would be Wes was out, Mavs don't have one. I'd love to send them home.

You're the worst. Go to mavs fans or wherever Dallas fans congregate on the internet...

I know not many teams of a strong online community like the rockets do and you need somewhere to internet but you shouldn't be welcome here.
