I personally think Mike Wilks have a great chance to make it on to the roster, even replace moochie as the backup pg. Cornell and Alex Scales played well last night too, but the position they play in are already jammed.

    What do you think?

As of right now, I'd like to see Cornell and Scales on the team...

Peter Cornell, who looks very active and could be a better backup to Yao

You really think that Cornell is as good as Cato???

Perhaps we could trade Cato to an EC team in need of a center, but that would be a move to solidify another position. Cato and Yao are the best center combination in the league and, despite the hustle and effort, Cornell is no Cato.

I agree. Cornell looked really active out there. I'm going to have my eye on him and scales tonight particularly. Cornell is the kind of player that stays hungry and doesnt need the ball to be effective. I liked the comparison that someone made to scales being like derek anderson. I loved the way that he ran the floor last night. i say keep Cornell on injured reserve. If he keeps up his play against teams with decent posts. (Not Boumtje Boumtje) Then He could make Cato Expendable. I once had a dream the Rox traded Cato,Griff,Cat, and nachbar for Shareef and Theo Ratliff. i dont know what the hell i was thinking haha. Maybe it's a sign!

if Wilks, Cornell, and Scales turns out to be good as they seems to be, then we could wrap Moochi, Nachbar, and Cato and trade them for a decent sf.

I really hope that Cornell and Scales make the team so far....

But there's still some pre-season games left... So I won't make my personal decision yet....;)

we already have a decent sf. that is Jim Jackson, also, i would not trade Cato. He is an exellent back-up. Brings alot of energy...

I want Wilks, Scales, and Cornell. Yes...have to see how they do today if they get to play.

I agree...if they are consistent and work hard...then they can play behind Adrian Griffin and Bostjan Nachbar and Kelvin Cato and Piatkowski.

No one has mentioned Gabe Muoneke. His size might be a big factor in him making the cut but the man can play. I watched a couple of nbdl games last season, even though he was smaller than all the post, he was dominating (now he even looks smaller in the nba)!

Unfortunately, I have a feeling that I'll be catching Gabe in some more nbdl games this season.

Good idea for a thread. Can Moneke play SF? We just seem to have small guys and big guys and on one around 6'8".

I just went by stats when seeing the box score of last night's romp. If the box score shows the truth, he's in for a while... what was that, 12 points? Cool. Let's keep those 12 points every game... I know, I know, Yao and Cato will be getting his minutes...

I'm really really really pulling for Gabe. I hope he makes it. I think he can be a sucessful Gundy guy.

Cato will be a exellent back-up if we pay him with a price of a back-up center, I personally think trading Cato to a eastern team will benefit both the Rockets and Cato himself.

Well, Cato will not be consider overpaid if he plays in starting lineup. And Nachbar, some team may still think he has a future since he is so young (the same reason why we got griffin). Moochi, maybe some team will take moochi for..... for .... hmmm..... their mascot?
