Who do you think will emerge as the teams' best 6th man this season?

I know the consensus view is that Lowry will be the de facto 6th man based on his game-changing ability and creating a spark off the bench. But there are easily several other players that could provide that level of effort to be the 6th man for the Rockets.

    They include (IMHO):
    1. Chase Budinger - great scoring ability and will most likely see more minutes (barring a trade)

    2. Courtney Lee - can play multiple positions and adds defense to his repertoire

    3. Patrick Patterson (a stretch I know)

    4. Brad Miller - with Yao only likely seeing 20 - 25 minutes a game, his presence will be more crucial; but could also see starting minutes (hopefully rarely)

    5. Other?

Hope this spurs some discussion. If not, we can go back to the regularly scheduled programming of "What's Melo doing now?".

I actually think Lowry will improve his shooting and become a great 6th man...then he'll start after Brooks gets traded. ;)

Bud for sure. I think trading Ariza showed that they have a lot of confidence in him coming into the season. That, and Battier is the starter to most often need a sub off the bench, so Bud will play more

Cleaverly disguised as another Melo Thread.

I hope to see Budinger Develop crazy, just hope, but Kyle will be the 6th man.

    Tie between:

    Lowry, Bud, and Lee.

    Courtney Lee

He will come in to play some D. This team has enough offense.

C-Bud, he can at least be like a young Brent Barry, has the tools to be even more I think though.

Depending on trades or lack of them, my first inclination was Chase. However, if we get Melo, Chase, sadly, likely will be gone. However, if there is no Melo acquisition, Chase, gladly, likely will be a starter over the more limited Battier.

Barring a trade, the most likely sixth man will be .... Jordan Hill.

Stupidity on my part. I read the guide on how to post a poll and it said to submit the thread and then choose the options for the poll. To make a long story short, without realizing it, I posted several of the same thread before getting the poll added. Sorry about that, I won't be making that mistake again

Budinger seems poised to take a step forward. I see the Ariza trade as a sign of the team's confidence in him. I'm pretty excited about seeing what he can do this season.
