i know yao hasnt practiced nor nachbar with the team but based on our new roster i think it should go like this.. steve @ point, cuttino @ shooting guard, bostjan nachbar @ small forward, mo taylor @ poward forward, yao ming @ center.. the reason i dont think glenn should start cause he didnt impress me at all last season. his legs didnt look good at all, he couldnt run with the rest of them. and he is suppost to be this three point shooter ha ha look at his percentage from three.. i just know that nachbar will impress the coaching staff by his shooting and his ability to drive in.. who do you guys think should start and why??
beginning of season- pg steve francis sg cuttino mobley sf glen rice pf mo taylor c kelvin cato end of season pg steve francis sg cuttino mobley sf bostjan nachbar pf eddie griffin c yao ming we let our rookies develope during the season and they eventually come into the starting lineup along with eddie griffin as u can see our whole front court changes at end of season from begginng of season
Starting 5 at the beginning of the season: Francis Mobley Rice Taylor (Thomas till he returns from suspension) Cato Also, I was thinking about the lineup and the guys who play multiple positions. I like this architecture: 7 pure-position players (2 each at PG and C), 4 2-position players, and an extra guy. Pure Position: PG: Norris, Maddox or Brown SG: Mobley SF: Rice PF: Taylor C: Yao/Cato 2-Position: PG/SG: Francis SG/SF: Torres or Free Agent SF/PF: Thomas PF/C: Griffin Extra: Nachbar Not to mention the IR: Morris and Collier (I guess you could swap them with Rice, Nachbar, Yao and/or Cato).
Bingo! I believe that the end of the season lineup will be the one that eventually leads us to a title.
Glen didn't have his legs last year because he had just come off of that injury. He was getting his legs back before the all star break where he had a couple pretty good games but then he got injured. I think Rice should be the starter for at least the beginning of the season until Nachbar proves he can be better than Rice.
