Since I see the Rox loosin Rudy has to make some serious moves the 03-04 offseason well i think Rudy has to make a trade to get some other PG and trade Francis or move him up to SG. I think we sould sign Gilbert Arenas from Golden State or sign Andre Miller from L.A. We need a passer who could dish out some dimes to get the whole team involve. Francis is a ballhog he is not a good PG. We need somebody to recognize the double team and hit the open man. We sure need a SF Posey and Rice rotation sucks. Any small foward better than Posey or Rice we be awsome. The Power Foward position is good but we need to start Mo T. rather than Eddie. Eddie is to young with no post up game. Cuttino is good but if he doesnt pick up the slack he will be looking for a trade to. NEW ARENA. NEW UNIFORMS SOME NEW PLAYERS. MAYBE NEW COACH. ROCKETS 03-04 CHAMPS

Trades are great. Francis, tho, can't be traded, so you'll have to settle for SG. Arenas and Miller will command more than the exception, so neither is coming here either as FA or sign'n'trade.

The new coach and GM, assuming that occurs, will have favorites. JVG and Spree? If them, Camby?

Whoever is making the decisions come the summer will be rebuilding this squad even if it is just reinventing Stevie and EG, for example.

Ballhogs dont work in a Big Man Game where the inside/outside and round the horn passing play a major role. I look at the safe bets to stay:- Firstly the untested need to have a chance to gain experience and develop:-Maddox,Nachbar,Morris.The King Pin of our Future is Yao Ming. Although a soft player I think Mo Taylor makes a great 6th.Man coming in off the bench, he is showing signs of what we have expected from him.
Of the rest I would clear the house and find us a couple of Stars that can work with Yao Ming, also we need players that can score from the 3pt.line. All of our new additions would need to be proven defensive/offensive players.
The Coach needs to take a long holiday away from Basketball, say in the Alps, then come back totaly refreshed. He should then watch tapes of both of our Championships. In this way he might start the training camp with memories of how a Big Man Basketball Team plays.IMHO

I am going to go out on a limb and predict that Collier will not be back next year.

We have several very tradable players -EG, CM, MoT, KC, and GR. To play with a big man you have to have consistent outside shooting. I personally would try to trade EG and CM or what ever combo of above to get Brand and Piakowski. Brand would give us toughness, rebounding, inside scoring, and making it difficult to double Yao off the 4. Piakowski give us the outside shooting needed to create spacing.

I also would like to add another shooter. I would love to get Barry from detroit. Heady player that is in range once he crosses half court.

I am not sure that we need a tradition point guard with the right group around SF and Yao. SF can score well and I could see out team developing into a younger version of the 95 team. Go to Yao as much as possible, use his scoring/passing ability, and when this doesn't work use SF to break his man down off the dribble. If we can get 6-7 assists from SF plus 5-6 from Yao, I feel this will help make up for the lack of a pass first PG.
