Who would you all choose if we could only have EG or Ming? I myself go with Griff for a couple of reasons.
    1-he's younger
2-he's a better athlete (run and jump)
    3-shotblocker (not just tall)
4-at 7' and growing he is growing into the center position (I picture him being a heyday DRob with greater range)

So, what do you all think? Ming or EG?

Tough question. Both of these guys have potential through the ROOF. BTW, I don't think Eddie's 7'. He might be when he's done growing. Big maybe. But still, he's going to be a monster in the league, given the playing time. So....as much as I LOOOVE Yao, I'm going to have to go with Griff too.

Talk about a premature discussion

That's okay though. And I'd pick Ming, a guy like that comes around every...... just once actually :)

Has Griffin grown over last year? I thought he's more like 6-10.

    I'll choose Yao over Griffin.

1.You can't teach height. Yao is a LOT bigger than Griffin.

    2. Yao is fundamentally sound in all aspects, which cannot be said with Griffin. Among all, Griffin can't pass or dribble like Yao. Griffin is still raw offensively.

    3. Yao plays at the most depleted position in the league, huge comparative advantage there. Griffin, on the other hand, has to battle numerous elite pfs night in and night out.

    4. Business wise, Yao is clearly the winner.

Both of them have huge potential, it's hard to say who will be better and why right now. For the time being, Yao is the man to go with.

I like Jack in the Box better than McDonald's because..... at least they acknowledge it's junk food - pure and simple. They present things in a humorous, fun fashion. No big deal. Like it was, when it started...novelty, not substance. Now McDonald's on the other hand. Oh brother, don't get me started. This is such big stuff, the food isn't even part of the ads any more. It's like, the golden arches are the gateway to heaven, or some such propaganda. It makes me wanna ride the buick. Personally, I don't care who is the better player, Ming or Griffin. I love it that both are going to be suiting up in a Rockets uniform. I just hope both men are big enough to tell the difference between eating a french fry and endorsing one. I'd rather wear some stupid styrofoam hat than be four french fries short of a happy meal. Know what I mean?

If I had to choose which player has the greater potential then I'd go with Ming. Although Griffin does have a ton of potential. If I had to choose which player I think has the better chance at being a superstar perennial all star player then I'd go with Griffin. Even though I think Ming's chances are almost as good as Eddie's. Really, I don't think either is much better then the other.

Personally I really dont care who will turn out to be better. I think both Ming and Griffiin will be great players and the cornerstones of the team for the next ten years. Together with Francis they will bring us championships. I hope they all will be hall of famers eventually. Go Rockets !

If Griff has games anywhere close to the one he had yesterday vs Gooden and Co., we are in for a treat. To be honest, I was a bit dissapointed in EG last year. He is the first player that the Rox have drafted that I wanted us to get (Morris was actually #2). Having watched EG play at Seton Hall I was shocked at how well he made the transition from HS to college bball. I was hoping that we would see a little bit more of EG in the post since last season was a wash from the getgo for pratical purposes. I read somwhere that Griffin had grown over an inch since the beginning of last year where he was listed at 6'10'' and that he has put on some weight to help in the post. I truly believe that with 28-30 mins per EG will be a player this year. I will go ahead and predict that he not only makes the 2nd year all-stars, but that he will win MVP of the game (will he guard Yao? I hope so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Do you really think Griffin ill be 7'-0" tall? That would be a pretty bad ass front-court! 7 ft PF, 7'-6" Center, both w/ sick rebounding and quite possibly scoring abilities. TIGHT!!!

That's a tough question. However, if you told me I had to give up one or the other I would give up Ming. That's a tough one, perhaps we should see Yao play in the NBA first.

It's really hard to pick which of the two will end up better in the long run.

If only we had both of them and didn't have to choose....oh that's right,we do!!! :D  :D

It's hard to tell right now, they are both extremely good prospects.

But I would have to lean towards Eddie just because he has more overall basketball ability anbd is younger. That is not to say Yao doesn't have ability but I think Eddie is ahead of him.

From looking at that photo on the front of clutch city webpage.. griff has muscled up a bit.. which is great, but i'm still worried he thinks hes a born-again shooting guard and wants to live outside the three point line

Ming and Eddie play different positions so I guess we are very lucky to have them on our team.

You guys are taking the easy way out on this one. So I'll change the scenario a bit. Suppose there was a deal on the table that required us send either Griffin or Ming, who do you part with?

Um, I don't think that's a recent picture of Eddie, seeing as how
that's a shot of a game vs the Jazz, not the Grizzlies.

But he DOES look pretty ripped, doesn't he? If he is even more
stacked up than that, then WOO WEE!

    heheheh:D

It depends on who we get in return. If we lose Ming and don’t get a good center in return we’re stuck with Cato at the 5, but if we lose Griffin we would at least have MoT and Kenny.
