Mo Taylor,Eddie Griffin or KT? I mean Rudy can't make up his mind and I think that messes with the chemistry.
Whoever Rudy decides. Griffin is a bad defender and inept offender player right now, so Rudy must really love him to play him this much ahead of Maurice. GO ROCKETS!!!
Just as a fan choice, I'd play Maurice Taylor with either E.G. or K.T. coming off the bench depending on matchups. However, I too defer to Rudy's selections. He hasn't failed us so far.
Which ever one it is, Rudy must (MUST) insist in the case of KT & MoT that they don't take ANY long distance shots and they must pass the ball if they are not open or guarded by more than one player!
What do you mean he can't make up his mind? I think it's pretty obvious that KT is the starter. He's clearly the best we've got right now.
Yes, I'd agree, KT is the best PF to have in the starting line up at the moment. But, he would be even better if he knew his damn limitations! He plays hard, which I like, but he gets a few clutch rebounds and he suddenly thinks he is the go to man on the team. Once he knows and accepts his limitations, and sticks to hard defense, rebounding and takes it easy on the offense, he will be the tough, intimidating, hurt somebody , banging team oriented pf the rockets need.
i wish ben wallace played power forward for the rockets. too bad he's in detroit. here's a stupid trade proposal that might work if the pistons gm is drunk on the day i call him. ROCKETS TRADE: PF Kenny Thomas SG Cuttino Mobley SF Bostjan Nachbar DETROIT TRADES: SG HUBERT DAVIS PF BEN WALLACE if they actually did this trade, the rockets would instantly become championship contenders. starting lineup SG Hubert Davis PG Steve Francis PF Ben Wallace SF Eddie Griffin C Yao Ming with this lineup, you would have three excellent 3 pt shooters. Hubert Davis used to be in the three point shooting contest and has always been an excellent pure shooter. Wallace gives you the power forward who just grabs the rebounds and doesn't try to shoot. With Wallace, Griffin, and Yao, you would have an incredibly tough defensive team. but this is just fantasy. i wonder when ben wallace becomes a free agent. rockets should sign him or find some way to trade for him.
I'd prefer that Mo T start. KT does better coming off the bench against the other teams' second units. Remember KT came off the bench when he scored a season high 29 points at New Orleans. No matter what though, KT should not be on the court late in close games. Mo T more of a clutch player than KT.
HP, I'm starting to think that there is more to MoT not playing than his on the court performance. The guy gets zero minutes and especially on a night when KT was not available. I heard that MoT was not at all happy with his lack of playing time and I can't help but wonder if he and Rudy had words that put him in the dog house. MoT played really bad to start the season two years ago but Rudy let him play through it and he turned into a hell of an offensive weapon. I have a hard time imagining that Rudy T would just put him at the end of the bench with no playing time in sight because he is having a hard time finding his game.
MoT had the flu two days in a row. that's why he did not play. Rudy T even said with kt out that he thought it would be an excellent opportunity for MoT to come back but MoT said he couldn't play cause he hadn't recovered from the flu.
As soon as Mo T is better, he should be our PF, he has the body for it and plays well with Yao Ming. KT would be the back up . Griffin would be the starting SF, he is physically more suited to this position and can play inside and outside, with experience he would match up better. Griffin also plays well with Yao Ming. Rice or Nachbar should play back up.
We want the MoT from two years ago. And i still think KT could play the 3 spot. Eddie is better suited right now for the backup role at PF. My 2 cents.
Right now, there's no way Eddie can play the three. He doesn't have the handles or the lateral quickness.
And he also can't defend 4's. He gets pushed around by big 4's. Eddie is great at blocking shots, but he is having a hard time handling people posting up against him. He definitely needs to bulk up.
KT didnt play in the 1st quarter, but he played almost all of the rest of the game. He scored on EVERYBODY..the Hornets finally stopped him by using two starters double teaming as soon as he got the ball. After following MoTs career since he was a rookie with the Clippers, I remember him always being considered an exellent offensive player...But never have I heard him referred to as a clutch player, the knock on MoT has always been ..questionable desire. KTs forte has always been that of an overachiever who gives 100%. KT plays better D, rebounds better and drives on the basket better..MoT shoots better. KT is better than MoT off the bench, as you stated.
MoT, Eddie, K.T. -- hmmmm. There is another. Yes, he is a 7-foot, 265-pound fundamentally solid rebounder with a nice touch to 18 feet -- Jason Collier. Collier was always better suited to be a PF than a center just like Chris Mihm of Cleveland. Best of all, we don't have to trade for him and there is no chemistry or ball-sharing problem.
