Man, the new jerseys for other teams suck this year. The Heat and the Faker$ had PERFECT uniforms so they go and replace them with PRACTICE JERSEYS. Who heads the design committees for these teams? Are they mandated by the league to take that crap? Or do they go out and hire a designer and expect better, but wind up with crap and be forced to wear it? The new Raptor unis are ok, but the new Hawks jerseys whoop ass! Check 'em out, they're a 150% improvement over those awful wrap-around bird jerseys.
Those uniforms don't seem fit for NBA games. The material doesn't look "real," know what I mean? It looks kinda cheap, actually. They remind me of WNBA jerseys. Rocketteer, I think you should help these guys out...what do you think? ------------------ Francis+Charles+Dream-Pippen= Rockets 2000 NBA Champions
Ace-- I was thinking exactly the same thing. They just don't look of professional quality, more like college, or as you said, the NBA. Rocketeer-- Hey man, if you're not already graduated, major in fashion design in college(for your resume') and go on to design jerseys! You could make a fortune and the NBA a lot easier to look at!
... And another thing: WHY DID THE SONICS GET RED JERSEYS... BEFORE US?!?! Man, now that's got me wondering when the Rockets are gonna break out in the new neon pink jerseys...
Does the NBA care? Not really. They change the uniforms as often as they think people will buy the "new and improved" version. It's a marketing scam, plain and simple. The good news is, they're taking it on the chin. NBA apparel sales are down markedly since 1994. Maybe it's coincidental, but I'd like to think it's partially due to the increasing number of pointless changes they're making. I really miss the red-and-gold Rocket uni's.
