Some good insider stuff from Yao. I decided to translate relevent parts. It is written by Yang Yi, the same reporter who had lots of chat with Yao.

Facing Tough Time, Yao Said: "One More Time"

The title references the 0 point, 2 board performance of Yao's NBA debut at Indianna.

    ...

After the Pistons game, Rockets announcer Warner asked Yao, "What happned?"

Yao said, "I don't know. Our assists are getting less and less."

Warner said, "Just let you know. Enjoy the game itself (not win-loss)."

Yao laughed, "Enjoy the game... I know. Such game..."

    ...

Yao walked outside the stadiumn. His parents were waiting outside. "I don't know what happened.'' Yao said. "Maybe I am tired. But I don't feel I am tired. But they all say that I am tired. But I don't know that myself. Maybe I should come up with some new plays. I only focused on fadeaways and hook shots. Haven't tried my spin move lately. Everybody forgot that I can spin like that."

    ...

Yao said, "Did you forget what I said at Indiana? It was the worst time. It was the worst game. Do you think it is worse than back then? The road in NBA is going to be a long march. I have just climbed a couple of bumps."

He continued, "I know what you are going to ask. Will I break down near the spring? There are two kinds of people in the world. One believes in me from beginning to end. They think my set backs are only a flash. The other never believed in me from beginning to end. They think all my good games are fluke. I can satisfy the first kind of people. I hit a slump. I tell them, One More Time! I can play out of 0 piont 2 boards game again."

    ...

Good article. I don't have time to traslate the whole piece but here are some important parts:

I think that announcer was Bill Worrell. He told Yao Ming to remember enjoying the game. But Yao thought it's hard to enjoy this kind of game (the Pistons game).

And he said that everyone told him he's tired but he's not very sure about it.

He also said he's gone through the very worst (that 1st game vs Indy) so he's not afraid to work from the bottom again.

This is also a good article.

It said our owner Alexander chated with Yao Ming for about 20 mins in practice and tutored him about the hook shot. Well I don't know that Alexander's mastered the hook shot?!

    And this one.

Yao Ming said he's never changed after being named an all-star but he felt that the reporters have changed. And he also said that he would never be as big as an ad superstar as Jordon and Tiger because everyone is unique.
