Glen Rice definitely belongs on the bench, he is a liability on defense and the boards. His once post up game is gone without his leaping ability. He's getting schooled by the slowest small forwards in the league. I bet Walt lights him up in the practice (that's embarassing). Give his minutes to Oscar Torres at the 3 spot, he doesn't understand English, however, he hustles and plays good defense and sticks the occasional jumper or 3. Moochie Norris, the hesitate right and go left move, has me numb. Force him right and his game goes from sugar to sh_t. Walt Williams, test the waters with him, if he's on leave him in. If he's off, bring in D and board strength with Terrence Morris. Cato the enigma, if he get's shots he hustles and rebounds. No shots, ZERO!!
I'm sick of hearing that Rice needs to learn the offense. He has had 15 games to learn it. People are just making excuses for him. Offensive players always find a way to score no matter what team they play on. Rice is averaging 8.8 points in 31 minutes - that's terrible when that is the one thing he is supposed to bring to the team. And even worse - he's averaging 2.5 rebounds in 31 minutes. Walt has more points and rebounds, and he plays 10 minutes less a game.
Keep Morris and Langhi on the bench and have Calvin Murphy show them guys someone cares by sending them some of his left over cookies to eat.
How long does it take to learn: stand @ the 3 point line and see if "me and Steve" (my nickname for Mobely) passes you the ball. j
