Utah is not known for winning championships. If their team pulls off an upset against the Lakers, you'll never hear the end of it from their fans. They hold onto things that don't mean much. To them, making the 2nd round is something that can be rubbed into everyone's face.

Of course, as Rockets fans, we haven't had much recent success so it's kind of hard to refute.

    1) You do not root for the j*zz. Ever.
    2) The j*zz are not gonna beat the Fakers.

I'm just rooting that both teams play a physical seven game series.

THe Lakers because they don't cheat, they beat teams because they are flat out more talented. Sure Kobe and co get superstar calls, but for the most part, it's because they have more talent than EVERYONE else in the league. Utah relies on deceiving the refs to win . Jerry Sloan has always been like that, and that's why he will never win.

I could deal with the losing to the Lakers, a 65 win team.

I would blow my brains out if we lost to the Jazz again. OK, maybe I wouldn't blow my brains out but I'd be pissed.

Dont tell anyone, but Utah... Just because we can beat them in the second round. Without a clutch player, it will be really hard to beat the Lakers.

I want the best matchup for Houston, we would have homecourt advantage if the Jazz and the Rockets won, so, I am going Jazz.

Lakers - probably the one time it won't be difficult to root for them!

    I'm not assuming we'd lose.

    Beat the Lakers = Great
Lose to the Lakers = Bad, but understandable

    Beat the Jazz = Great
Lose to the Jazz = 4 months of depression

    That's all I'm saying.

I would love to taste sweet revenge against the Jazz in the 2nd round. I really hate this "j*zz" team ever since the crusher from John Stockton. This team is like a T-Mac's excuses, they are always there and constantly getting in our way. Either team will be tough, but I personally will feel better knocking out the Jazz!!!!

I feel ya on that for sure. But, I give us a 10% chance to beat LA. With HCA, I give us a 50% chance to beat Utah. I'll take 4 months of depression for those odds!!! :D

Nah. I'd feel better about beating the 65 win team that's led by the best player in the game. All while not having home court advantage.

Buuuuut, let's get past the Blazers first :D

Part of me is rooting for the Lakers because of my hate for the Jazz but as a Rockets fan my #1 priority is for them to advance as deep into the playoffs as possible. Facing the Jazz in the second round multiplies that opportunity.

Go Jazz!!! (although the little voice in my head will be cheering every time Kobe sticks a dagger in them)
