With the Rockets long out of the championship hunt, who are you going to pull for in the playoffs? I'd be surprised anyone that frequents this board would pull for Pippen's Blazers.

Here are the teams I'm NOT going to root for:
    *Jazz--hate 'em.
*Spurs--nope, don't need another 2 time champ in the state.
*Eastern Conference teams--no way...keep it in the west.
    *Blazers--are you kidding?
*Lakers--I like Shaq but the LA fans annoy me.
    *Suns--hmmm, maybe.
    *Kings--too young, too quick.

Alright...I've come up with a long shot: Sonics. I'm gonna pull for Seattle and Rashard Lewis...my runner up pick are the T-wolves, I've always liked Garnett and his style of play. And that's my final answer.

i'll be pulling for the Kings, but it's not likely they'll go all the way. I wouldn't mind that much to see Ewing get a ring.

By wanting Utah to lose to the East in the finals and lose in the conference finals, you all are posing that they WIN at least the first two rounds of the playoffs.....to that I say:

Screw Utah.....out with them in the first round in a three game sweep. Who cares who beats them as long as they get beat early and often.

HoopT- I guess you didn't realize that I hate the Jazz as much as you. I am just sadistic and think that it would hurt them more to actually go to the finals, and think that they are finally gonna get it - and then lose in 7. But , your suggestion is good too.

No doubt Indiana, they came so close only to fall to the Bulls and Knicks and I love Larry Legend. Maybe another ring could lure Larry back for another year or two.

No way would I ever root for Seattle... Quitten and Augmon can go to Hell... Stockton and Malone should still be paying reparations for that little bear-hugging incident in '97... $haq and Kobe need to find their way off NBC early this year... Tim Duncan already has his; he and the Admiral should not be bigger basketball heroes in the state than Clyde and Hakeem...

Other than that, no major problems with other Western teams. [IMG]

But personally, I'm rooting for the Pacers.

Toronto. I have been watching their games along with the Kings on DirecTV.

I love Vince Carter..man is he good.

However, it is over, the Lakers will win it, and we could have another dynasty in the making.

I think once the dam breaks and the Lakers win, they could win for lots of years to come.

I am hoping that Utah gets beaten by Indiana or Toronto in the Finals. That would be wonderful.

Actually I just want to see Utah lose again to any Eastern team, just to prove that it wasn't MJ that stopped them!

ANYONE from the East ... please!

I wouldnt mind the suns, sonics, kings or twolves, but they have NO chance.

of elite west teams, I would have to choose Lakers, but only out of desperation. I, as well, hate Laker fans.

Shaq this, Kobe that, and what's worse, parents and damn NBC Costas are teaching kids to love them! I saw a group of 5th graders playing ball at the park the other day, ands they were each pretending to be a Laker. I asked them if they could name another team other than the Lakers ...

    Not a damn one.

    sad sad sad.

I'd love to see the Kings, but since they won't the team that probably deserves it is the Lakers. They've made bold moves (acquiring Shaq & trading 2 good players for Rice), and been hanging around for a couple of years waiting for the right chemistry. I'd also love to see the Pacers pull it together for Larry & his vets (Reggie & Smits & Mullin)

I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't see myself going for anyone but Utah. Got to love that team!

Just kidding, I have to root for Miami or Indiana.

I'd like to see the Lakers and the Jazz in the Western Conference Finals, and have Shaq and Malone injure the crap out of each other as well as a bunch of other players, and then watch the beaten up winner get pummeled by the healthy Pacers. That would be kinda cool! [IMG]

The only truly satisfying thing about this postseason will be that the malone and stockton won't be getting rings (Its great that my first post on this site, I get to bash the Jazz).

Can't root for the lakers becuase of their annoying fans and am sick and tired of hearing about them. If they fail this year, what are their chances next year if Glen Rice jets?

Still can't root for the Sonics given the number for times they beat us around.

Basically, I am pulling for Indiana becuase I would like to see Miller get a ring before most of the teams in the west (exception being kings/timberwolves). An Indiana-Lakers final would be very ugly. Shaq vs. Smits? Ouch.

Funny that you mention New York, Drag-On. I was pulling for them last year against San Antonio mainly because I couldn't stand the thought of the Spurs being champions. I felt I was left with no choice. It felt really strange being a Knicks fan for a couple of weeks.

I would love it though if the Bucks eeked ther way into the playoffs and won it all. That would be great!

I couldn't complain if the Spurs won. I'm not necessarily rooting for them, I'd just rather see Texas win than lose.

I hate the Jazz. I liked Portland before Quitten got there. I like Phoenix, Minnesota and the Kings, but they won't win it all.

I can't hate the Lakers. Its not their fault they're the darlings of NBA/NBC. I hate all the attention they get and their fans, but I like Shaq and Kobe. I wouldn't mind seeing Ewing getting a ring, either.
