I think this list would be more challenging to compile.

I feel if Eddie doesn't get his head screwed back on, he may be the biggest Rockets bust.

Other players I can think of that make this list are:

    Mirsad Turkan
Roderick Rhodes (though arguable to injury)
    Derrick Chievous
    Bryce Drew

    whoa there hoss...

Ralph Sampson was a good player, definitely not a bust.
If his knees hadnt gone out, he would have been top50.

If his knees hadnt gone out, Rox would have won a ring way before we did.

Him and Akeem were the original Twin Towers...if they could have grown into their potential...look out league!

Let's not start the whole Sampson thing again.

    Answer as of now: Chievous.

Possible answer in a while, pending developments: Griffin, as hard as it is to admit it.

Yep.. Its just the expectations for him and the result were just not up to par. Ofcourse this guy isn't a bust, but he never lived upto the expectation of being the Twin Towers :(

So Boki is no longer considered a bust?

Hmm...he hasn't been a stud. But I think recently he is doing ok, as a relatively new NBA player.

I'd call a player a bust if they're a high pick who didn't pan out. Anything after the 10th pick is just about a crapshoot.

So far, it's hard not to list Eddie Griffin as the biggest bust in Rockets history. He was a high pick (#7) who's in rehab and showed no progress in three NBA seasons.

He's still young and can turn it around (obviously), but it doesn't look good right now.

Since the Rockets have usually done well with high picks (coughHayes) (coughHakeem) (coughSampson), it's hard to find a true bust. Even Robert Horry was a good pick at #12.

You'd have to go back to 1976 to find a busty (hee hee) Rockets pick. John Lucas was the #1 pick overall that year. He wasn't #1 material, but he turned in a solid career. In hindsight, Adrian Dantley, Robert Parish and Alex English would have been nice picks. But that's easy to say 27 years later! :)

don't complain about serge:D he would be great:D or not.
and why is the djunoir? because they got injured? so you think grant hill is a bust too? sampson even got us in the final. sampson would be great. dickerson would have a verry good career if not for the injury. i think it is not fair to call people a bust beause of injury.

Yeah Ralph was a real bust.

    He was only...

    Rookie of the Year
    All-Star game MVP
He averaged almost 20pts 2blks 11rebs 3asts in his career with the Rockets
Hit the series winning shot, while Dream was in the locker room, in the 86 WCF

Yeah I can see why you think Ralph was a bust.

You probably think Gale Sayers was a bust as well because his career was cut short by injury.
