Hadn't had one of these threads in a while.... :p

I have noticed that quite a few posters have been posting really good posts of late, and they all are (with the notable exception of 2) have registered like in 2002.

Refman - even though he didn't like the pull-up thread (;) ), he has shown to be quite a heavy hitter in the foreign affair threads as well as ones dealing with issues like health care, etc.

drapg - a poster more to my heart (that is not a knock against Refman or anyone else) - this guy is vastly underrated, IMO, when it comes to posting here. He never ceases to amaze me with the stuff he comes up with. I guess I'm glad that he is laid off or we wouldn't be treated to this great info.;) (Guess that was pretty selfish of me to say that but you know what I mean).

Batman Jones - very headstrong poster who had registered in '99 but has really started posting with a flourish. Although, I don't agree with him on many things, I do admire his style and honesty and enjoy reading what he has to say.

FranchiseBlade - another heavy hitter in the foreign affairs thread. He is very underrated as well, IMO.

Deckard - hadn't seen much from him lately, but his style is somewhat similar to drapg. He always has something interesting to say.

Mrs. JB - I know that she is not really new and that she registered in sep 2001, but like Batman, it wasn't until 2002 that she really began to post and I am glad that she did. She is an awesome poster just like her hubby, and I love her sense of humor. Plus it is always good to have a female side on this BBS. I can only hope that I will be as lucky as Jeff in finding a classy lady like Mrs. JB.:)

I know there are probably others, but these are the ones that jump out at me.

I honestly don't keep track of who is who or who made who or what the rankings are, but I will say this ---------> I think some new posters just want to save money, are posting more superbly than ever and it's great. You can say CC.net makes the posters or the posters make CC.net or Todd McFarlain made Spiderman or Spiderman made Todd McFarlain who subsequently made Spawn + too much money...
....but the reality is this is like a pot of squirrel stew where you have the main thing (i.e. squirrel compared to Rockets) and add different organic components (potatoes sp?, carrots, celery, water, etc.) just like how there are different posters in terms of style, background, etc. and blend this stuff all up...You then have a cook (Clutch), + his cooking partners (Jeff, Kagy, administrator, will, etc.) who organize the selection and menu dishes...They make sure no crap happens to the stew and ensure quality...The result is one tasty meal ~ or otherwise known as the culmination of posts...

So to those new, bon appetit! :)

I second Manny's listing of Refman. Well-informed poster who has arrived with a force...and that includes an assault on Manny's posting average - Refman's currently at 8.65 per day! drapg is also another good newbie...though in both instances, it doesn't really seem like they are that new!

(Not like that matters much! :) :p )

Ditto for Batman Jones and Mrs. JB, but I don't really consider them newbies...just late converts from lurk mode.

I also enjoy reading RC Cola's posts. As I recall, he said he was only 15...but seems a good bit older.

Seems like just yesterday that we were all newbies, though.

YEAH! I'VE BEEN NOTICED! :D Hehe. I am 15, but will be 16 in September, so in a way you are right. I make all A's, so I may seem a little smarter than most. And with that remark, everyone will now hate me for being a ...uh.. butt.

I also like Refman. He likes wrestling like me, and we have a WWE thread of 3 pages, most of which are him and me. Pretty cool guy. The weird thing is I'm newer than him, but I'm saying he's a good new guy.

I'd name others, but I'm not quite sure who's new or not.

Aw shucks, Manny. Flattery will get you everywhere. :)

I definitely like Batman's take-no-prisoners posts. Not to mention the fact that he's the only straight man I've ever seen that can look good in a tiara.

Drapg is really cool AND he liked my pumpkin pie. That rates pretty high in my book.

Htownhero always has an interesting take on the issues and was kind enough to attempt to stick up for me in a heated debate -- so I like him.

And, of course, Refman. I have to admit that I was a little put off by his strident style at first. But I recently met MadMax (the two are friends) and he was just so darn NICE that I figured any friend of Max's is a friend of mine. And while I'm often on the opposite side of the issues, I can't fault Refman for the strength of his convictions. The man is a born debater.

You know Manny, you registered only a month before me and yet you've somehow managed to amass 3,000 more posts than me. We've GOT to get you a woman. :D

Thanks to Manny, mfclark and RC Cola for the kind words. :)
Like drapg I am currently unemployed. That's why I've been posting so much. As many can tell I have a strong opinion on a good many things. :)

If you like reading my posts, thank MadMax. When we were in law school he told me about this site. I didn't check it out until March. After hearing about it from him a zillion times I registered...but that was it. I didn't visit the site again until June...and the rest is history. :D

I enjoy reading the posts of and debating with...Mrs. JB, Jeff (although not a newbie), Batman Jones, RC Cola, drapg, Manny and many many others. You have all caused me to enjoy this BBS a ton.

Thanks everyone. It has made being laid off a little more bearable. :D

Well at least now we know who to blame...
Good thread Manny... but don't let it go to yer head. :D

RC Cola - I could read this kid's ramblings for an hour and just bust out laughing. I have no idea why, but it's fun reading his stuff. Like the time he addressed the user named drpepper as his archrival or something... so stupid, but had me laughing anyway.

drapg - one of those guys you just sit around and talk to about anything. Just seems like the kinda guy you grew up with, played football with, and hooped with... although I think getting him off the bbs may get him a bit closer to getting a job.

This one is easy. Batman Jones is easily my favorite "new" poster right now.

I've considered posting in some political threads, but I haven't had to. This guy pretty much expresses my opinions exactly.

Thanks DOD. I'm happy I'm getting the respect of the senior members. (and thats not a joke about you, btw.) I try to put some humour inmy posts, so I'm happy someones laughing at them. Kind of wish my Creampuff referance to Collier would have stayed, though. :(

Also thanks to Refman. He was one the first people I had a discussion with. I think it was about a $40 pillow.

On a sadder note, I will have to go back to school Monday. I probably will still post some, but not as much. Darn school. Oh well, I'll be able to use my English 2 and Algebra 2 knowledge against all of you. :D :p
