Okay, Big talk on the Eminem movie, so here's a poll. Not for who is the first or most original, but more : Who moves ya most ? If you were stuck on an island who would you rather have?

Lyrically noone compares to Eminem, how could Vanilla Ice and Insane Clown Posse be left off this list? Wouldn't have been my choice but someone bought all those albums.

Damn, I thought that the poll would be whether they should be shot on the spot or be made to suffer a cruel and inhuman death
    :(

I'm not sure G. Love and Special Sauce should be considered rap. But if so, I vote for them.

The Beastie Boys not only paved the way for white rappers, they were a major influence in getting rap into the mainstream. License to Ill was the first rap album to reach #1 on the pop charts.

"My pistol is loaded, I shot Betty Crocker
Deliver Colonel Sanders down to Davy Jones's locker"

Of course, "great beastie boys lyrics" is worthy of its own thread entirely...

A few years back, Beastie for sure. But they got all weird with their music. I had to vote for E.

On a related topic, what's your favorite album by a white rapper or group? For me, Paul's Boutique by the Beasties.

I think the Beastie Boys are by far the best Caucasian rap group...and would venture to say that I think they are better than most of the rest of the rap world.

I would like to give an honorable mention vote to Jesse Jaymes. The best West Coast pasty rapper ever!:D
