I know it will hurt as much as you guys think for not having Dream in the rosters , But I think it will be good for the sake of the Rockets to have Carlos back. Besides he had some great games with the Rockets when Cato and Dream were out. He is a good hustler and very aggressive on the board.Well, I think the main factor to re-sign this guy is if he will take a descent salary for 2 years at least. What do you guys think?
Having Carlos back would be fantastic. But, for some reason, the Rockets hate him. They don't seem to like big guys who hustle- only stiffs that shoot.
Didn't the Rockets say he was really lacadasical in practice? I didn't believe it at first but I think some posted a link to an official story about it last year. Could be wrong about that though. Either way, the fact that he hustles and leaves it all on the floor in the actual games is enough for me. I say resign him.
Carlos is more versatile and agreesive player than Cato ,by far!I remember playing last season and had 30 points. I just hope that Rudy really knows carlos game, cause his got what it takes when you put him on the floor. Anyone knows what range of salary is Carlos is looking for?I guess, he can jump for $6 million for 2 years, unless somebody is eyeing on Carlos and that will be different thread.
Carlos must be renounced to sign Mo' to $6.1m starting salary. Doesn't mean we can't sign him back, but don't yell when we renounce him.
I remember a poster saying that, but I don't remember any over-the-counter sort of information source telling us he was lazy at practice. Whatever the reason, the Rockets clearly don't want him back, which is too bad because, as far as I can tell, he'd start ahead of Cato and Collier easy.
While Carlos started some games at the 5 for us last year that was an emergency situation. (Hakeem, Cato, and Collier all out with injury.) Carlos is a PF and we already have too players at that position (assuming Bull resigns). If we were to add another PF, KT would have to go, and it should be someone with a big body - someone who could intimidate.
I don't know, Shark. (Tiburon sounds cooler, though.) I think those "injuries" to Los were team-spin BS. Like some of Cato's "injuries." Cato's talent was injured more than his body, methinks. Or Dream's "injuries." With Dream, his pride was injured much of the time, or the playoffs were coming up (which, of course, hasn't been a worry for this team for a couple years). With Los, for whatever reason, RT didn't play him much, maybe for his attitude, something...but when he was given minutes, he produced, and that could come in handy, especially if we just need a 2 year stopgap center while Griffin beefs up.
