I was browsing through the nba.com website, when i saw the list of the 1994-1998 draft picks.. and seeing as though the next draft is coming soon.. which year would you think has had the most proven talented draft?.. it can be other years as well, I was thinking 1996.. kobe, AI, ray allen, stojakovic, jermaine o'neal..

Have to say 1996. No year between 94 and 98 can compete with 96. AI, Kobe, Marbury, Allen, J. O'neal, Nash, Peja, Walker.... Great draft year. No doubt.

    Thorpe
    Barkley
    Olajuwon
    Jordan
    Stockton

That's pretty much an All-NBA and All-Defensive first calibre team year year out.

I'm with Gerving, no year can touch '96.

Yup, they totally brought the NBA out of the dark-ages of Jabbar, Magic and Bird.

The draft class that included Jalen Rose, Grant Hill, and Jason Kidd. I believe that was 1992.

    How about 1999 class?

Have been All stars: Brand, Francis, Baron Davis, Shawn Marion, Szczerbiak

As good as all-stars: Andre Miller, Richard Hamilton, lamar Odom and Jason Terry.

In addition, Corey Maggatte, James Posey, Andrei Kirilenko, Devean George and KT were also from this class.

In my view, this class is just as good as 1996 class, if not better.

    96 was great but....

    Barkley
    Olajuwon
    Jordan
    Stockton

4 guys who are already in the top 50 greatest players of all time list. and that's not even mentioning those other solid players that came out that year.

I'm reluctant to say the 96 class can compete with that until their careers are close to an end. If when is all is said and done you can tell me that at least 3 of those players qualify for the top 50 greatest players of all time I'll consider trying to match up the honorable mentions vs. the honorable mentions of 84 and see where that class stands. But right now, I just can't say anything but 84.
