We could have just picked up Clyde with the pick we used on Rodney McCray. (C) Sampson (PF) Hakeem (SG) Drexler or if Chicago still wanted Sampson for their pick in '84 (C)Hakeem (SF) Clyde (SG) Jordan
I've thought about this... a lot more than the topic merits. All three guys quickly became "The Man" on their respective teams. Playing together would all three have developed into the players they eventually became? Answer: Probably close enough.
Clyde and Jordan would have complimented each other the way Jordan and Pippen played so well together. Hakeem may have never had to develop the offensive arsenal that he had, but that would also mean he wouldn't have had to fight double and triple teams his whole career. So maybe Hakeem's career, or at least the good years of his career would have lasted longer. I just don't think dynasty and Houston sports go together in the real world though, but it is fun to dream.
Jordan and Dream would probably fight a lot if they were on the same team, but winning would make everything all good. They'd probably make Ralphie the goat, and he'd bust his leg on purpose.
In that scenario, the Rockets may have won too many games in Ralph's and Clyde's rookie year to gain the Hakeem pcik.
Well, when you combine the instant suicides and heart attacks, the deaths from people that got drunk after hearing the news and driving home, bludgeoning deaths from people banging their heads agains the wall, and the complications 20-30 years from now due to the increase in blood pressure, I can see at LEAST 2500 deaths...
Haha this is a hell of a poll. Pretty funny to see the results. Of course, as it should be on CF, the Rockets are more important than most other things.
