I was watching coverage of the Vince Carter trade and it was split about 50/50 between those who think VC is washed up and will never come close to what he used to be and those who think he's still got it, he just needed a change of venue and to be out of the leadership role...what's your take???
I'm not a big Carter fan, but I am a fan of Jason Kidd. Kidd will take alot of pressure off of Carter and Vince should do well. It's not a coincidence K-Marts' numbers are down. (Before you tell us it's the WC, counting the Hornets DEN has played 13 of 23 games vs the East).
Kidd hasn't lost a step - he's lost three or four. He may never be the player he was. Carter definitely won't be the player he was; he hasn't played at a high level in three years, even though he was his team's designated star and refs were protecting him in any way the could. What makes anyone think they're going to turn it around now?
Well if Vince makes his debut tomorrow against the Raptors I think we'll at least see the old Vince for one game! After that though, I think we'll see signs of HMHO every once in a while, but injuries are still gonna take a toll on what he's able to do.
