A lot of positions are opening up. Should he make the comeback?

Of those teams listed, most likely Philly. Maurice Cheeks ain't exactly COTY and with great defensive bigs like Brand, Dalembert and Evans and that defensive philosophy they're starting to implement, Philly looks perfect.

His boy Thibodeau will get the Washington job because he originally signed with them before going to Boston. He left b/c Eddie Jordan didn't give him as much power Doc did.

Avery will end up in OKC b/c of his close ties there. They have a lot of young talent and a good GM. He'll have a lot to work with.

Theus will turn things around in Sacramento. He'll be safe.

Saunders could end up on the next good team that opens up (ie Phoenix, Denver, Cleveland).

I could see Fratello end up with the TWolves given their young team.

Think he'll wait for an elite-type job.

Philly does look good for JVG and they Philly have a chance to be an elite team. At least an upper echelon team.

I don't see them cutting ties with Mo Cheeks this early into the season especially with the turnaround he's shown since he's got there.

Didn't he just sign a 5 year deal with ESPN? He can't just walk out now, can he?

He can do whatever he wants. Besides, I'm sure the deal he signed was also contingent upon him being offered a head coaching job somewhere.

With that said I hope he stays on as a CC.

JVG coaching Durant would be a good thing, but I don't think OKC has a chance.

of all the teams mentioned, i only see 3 open spots as of right now.

i think tom thibs signs (again) in washington. OKC will look for a coach who is better at developing talent, and less into winning right now. toronto looks like the best bet, but saunders should be in the mix for that as well.

Clippers? Dunleavy's not getting fired. He's the GM & coach. He's got two years left on his contract. Sterling's not going to fork out for nothing.

I think he'd go to Toronto.. except for its location, so I think none of the above.

I'd like to see what JVG could do with the Raptors. It's not a perfect fit, but it would be interesting.

I don't see him considering any of the teams listed except Toronto and Philly. He'd rather not go to a team that's doomed to suck. And, teams with young talent that needs to be developed won't want him.

I think he will keep the broadcasting gig for a while for family reasons.
