THE ZDF PUBLIC television network, working with a German coroner, said Thursday that it took photographs and film clips of Saddam in its archives and used facial recognition technology to determine that men said to be him were lookalikes. “In the film sequences since 1998 only the doubles appear,” said Dieter Buhmann, a Homburg coroner. “He himself has not been seen again.” But in the program, ZDF said the original Saddam reappeared on Iraq television on Saturday. It also quoted what it said was a former Iraq intelligence official describing how he had recruited doubles for Saddam. “It was a practice started for security reasons because Saddam traveled a lot at the time and had contact with the public,” said the former intelligence official, now living abroad in opposition. An image from a computer study conducted by the German television network ZDF-TV, which used facial-recognition software to conclude that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein actually has 2 or maybe 3 body doubles. ZDF said in the program, and on its Web site, that “a scientific investigation proved the 65-year-old ruler allows at least three doubles to replace him at official appearances.” ONLY AS DECOYS IN CONVOYS A U.S. official told NBC News, however, that while they can confirm that Saddam has used doubles in decoy convoys, they doubt Saddam uses lookalikes for official appearances. The official added that the ZDF claim that the the real Saddam has not made an appearance since 1998 was absurd. “Its not a Dave kind of deal,” said the official, making reference to the movie “Dave” in which a job training specialist fills in for a comatose president. “We have reports in the past of him using lookalikes and while you can’t put anything past this guy, we kind of doubt it that he has been using doubles for official appearances.” SURGICAL ALTERATIONS? ZDF said it was difficult to tell which were the doubles and which was the real Saddam Hussein. Minor details such as the size of the ears, hands and shape of the shoulders gave the lookalikes away, ZDF said. “They have apparently undergone surgery to appear to look like the statesman,” ZDF said. “The doubles have mastered Saddam’s gestures and perfectly mimic Saddam, with only tiny details separating them from the real Saddam Hussein.”
I've been saying for quite a while that I'd bet good money he's not even in Iraq anymore. In fact, it's time for me to come clean. I know for a fact that he's been living in the United States for a long, long time. Here's a photo of him taken in the late 1990's with Mary West, a former beauty queen. I've also heard that he had his own TV show for a while.

Well, as a fake journalist in the US, he is also known to be ruthless and "hard-nosed." So I could believe he killed one of the look-a-likes. Okay, okay, jokes aside, I'm pretty serious about that jackass not being in Iraq.
