Watching the game tonight I was impressed with the Texans receivers that are trying to make a roster spot. With so many people trying for only a few spots who do you think stays and who goes? I only put the receivers who seem to have the best shot at making the roster or practice squad.
Kind of a strange poll. More than one of those guys will be cut, definitely. I think Sloan Thomas, Kendrick Starling and Pitts will be cut. Andre, Gaffney, Bradford and Armstrong are all relatively proven. Swinton can be the return guy and is a decent receiver. Kaspar has proven himself on special teams and Mathis has been wowing everyone in practice with his speed. Those other three will be the odd men out.
I'd like to see Sloan Thomas make the team, especially after looking pretty good last night. Therefore, I went with Pitts on your poll. However, it may be wishful thinking. Can't see the Texans keeping more than 6 or 7 wr's.
First of all Gaffney and Mathis are locks to make the team. Only one other will make it maybe if they choose to carry 6 wr's, either Kasper or Swinton. The others mat make the practice squad.
Honestly I think most of those receivers are just as good if not better than Gaffney. I really havent been impressed with Gaffney's play since he was drafted. Just my two cents.
I wanna see Buchanon return some punts this weekend. I saw what Swinton can do and he looked real good in the open field.
